Despite her blind scrambling- her arms tightening around him, delicate curves pressed to his back… it was enough to cause his face to warm up and for this reason he was glad she was behind him. “Ah.” While he knew it was still the white dragoness it was strange to hear her speak, her voice was small like she was and it just seemed to fit once he had got over his shock. “It was nothing…. I couldn’t let you be taken. You’ll never have to go back to that.” Hiccup assured softly as the clouds darkened overhead as they approached Berk. It looked like a storm was on it’s way but he was hopeful they could make it to land before it struck. The island was still a distant speck when the sky broke open with great gusts of wind and icy rain. They’ve pushed through storms before though so Toothless battled these elements to make headway, pushed to and froth by the air currents he lifted them higher into the sky. “HOLD ON!” Hiccup called over the howl of the storm as it became difficult to tell up from down and then hail began to pelt down- the first sign of winter on Berk. Icy stones striking Toothless’ wings caused him to falter and as his flight weakened the wind caught him, flipping him over in the air. He roared in protest, flailing in an attempt to right himself but failed to do so before they crashed into the trees. Branches snapping away from his body- tearing a path of destruction and dislodging his riders before he crashed down in the mud.
