Personality
Blade shows a detached personality. He is ruthless and merciless in his killings and rarely shows any sympathy or respect for the humans he protects. This is not to say he is a dark brooding generic superbrat. He does exhibit his cocky side at times and will joke at certain times. He trusts a very small amount of people and will do anything to rid the vampire menace from the world. 

Backstory
Eric was born in a brothel in England in 1929. His mother was a prostitute who had decided to keep Eric after deciding that getting an abortion at the primitive stage that abortions were at was too dangerous. His mother suffered severe labour complications and a doctor was summoned to help her. The doctor was actually a vampire posing as a doctor who killed and feasted upon Eric's mother as he was being born. This resulted in certain enzymes and attributes being passed onto Eric which granted him his vampiric abilities.

Eric grew up in the whorehouse as normal as someone with his abilities and someone living in a whorehouse could. When coming home from school one day, Eric met Jamal Afari, a vampire hunter who was fighting off some lesser vampires using a silver cane. Eric helped Jamal fight the vampires and after Jamal learned of Eric's 'gift' he decided to train him in the ways of vampire hunting. Eric excelled at the use of blades which gained him the nickname 'Blade'. 

After that, Blade tracked down the legendary vampire, Dracula and fought him, losing his girlfriend, Glory in doing so. He later tracked down and finally finished Dracula after many attempts, after doing so returning to regular vampire hunting along with cooperating with various superheroes and supergroups to take down bigger enemies.

Starts with -His signature 'Double edged sword', It's edge is covered in acid and its handle is rigged with a boobytrap to destroy the hand of any thieves.
