"So I might get hurt, that's a given if I'm fighting! And if it's that tough to hit I'll be more careful, that's all." If this creature's hide was going to be that tough then Viral was going to have trouble too. Of course he had his cleaver, but were he to lose it he'd be just as powerless as she was. "If you need that weapon to even hurt it then what happens if you misplace it?" Yumi asked, voicing her concerns. "Unless you're going to scratch it apart too then you're going to be in the same boat as I am. So just let me come along, it's safer that way. Strength in numbers right?" Even if all she did was support during the fight it was still a better situation than Viral going it totally alone. She couldn't let him have it his way, no matter how angry it was making him. Now that they had come to a stop at the valley they had a moment to think things through a bit, or Yumi figured they might. Still sticking to his guns and not wanting her to come along she finally had to voice her thoughts, unable to just sit by and idly take it. Perhaps a bit of a mistake. It had been said already, but not quite to the degree that Viral had emphasized it now. Yumi wanted to think her presence was doing him some good, and that maybe it would be a little more welcome if she just explained her reasoning for coming along. The Beastman wanted absolutely no part of her regardless of how she might try to say otherwise, that much was painfully obvious now. Did he think that she assumed he was weak? Or incompetent? She wasn't coming along to just watch over him, not entirely anyways. Yes, in part she wanted to come just to make sure he was safe, but she was also keen to fight as well, however nervous she may be. "Yes, I am afraid of losing you!" Yumi shouted, closing her eyes and balling her hands into fists once more. Giving her hands a frustrated toss into the air she looked at Viral again, her hands going to her head where she held it fitfully. "I don't want you to go alone because I'm afraid something might happen. We don't know what this thing is, or what it can do. If you died and I wasn't there to help then I could never live with myself. I would rather die myself than be here without you! So please, just let me come along! I won't even fight if you don't want me to, but just let me be there so I know you're okay, please?" "Look at it this way, most of what we've found so far tastes like one thing or another that we have back on Earth. There has been a few things I couldn't say what it tasted like, but overall it's been surprising how much familiar foods there are. So... There's going to be a ton of things to try, though not all of them are going to be all that alien." Maybe it was just his imagination telling him the foods were similar. It had been quite some time since he had been to Earth anyways, for all he knew he could be utterly wrong. Heck, the foods on their home world might taste like these other planets' foods, not the other way around. Takeshi hardly cared however it was, he enjoyed what they were finding well enough. Not very ecstatic for another fruit meal however he left his noshing at the root for now, figuring there would be more back at the ship later for a proper dinner. Leaving all the fruit to Shu and T'charrl be backed off a bit, opting instead to poke around the den's entrance a bit out of curiosity. "Only one way to find out, you'll have to eat a ton of stuff. And yeah, definitely lucky we found some fruit here, otherwise Shu would be sulky for the whole trip," he said, looking over to his brother with a teasing smirk. "You really love your fruit, don't you?" The father silently admitted he may have been wrong about these visitors. Granted they hadn't truly done anything yet to earn his total trust, but their vow alone to keep his child safe certainly meant something. Now it was going to be a matter of waiting to see how their other friends handled the god, whether or not they were going to be victorious. Honestly the not knowing was likely going to be the worst part of this whole ordeal. Behind them the grass rustled lightly, and picking up a familiar scent he turned around to spot one of their fellow natives emerging, fair winded as though he had been running. He looked fair similar to the father, though a little bit of a slimmer build and a bit of curious markings painted on his face and shell. "Yeva, what? Tired, why? Run here?" Yeva was busy trying to catch his breath, leaning over and resting his claws on his legs tiredly. "The... The Dural... Village, we see, coming now. For son, two, can't stop. Must hide inside, tell them he gone." The Dural were the underlings of the god, his minions as they were. Often times they were laborers, aiding the people in their building efforts. The creatures were even known to protect the natives from time to time, showing some benevolence like their god. However, they were also dangerous when denied what they wanted, such as collecting the sacrifice. People had been killed by the Dural for insolence, and they would be no exception. "Dural...? Now? Early... Not yet. Days still, too soon." This was troubling, very troubling. Looking over at the trio the father walked forward, again bowing his head slightly for respect before speaking again. "Dural take son, they bring him to god. Soon, not know why they come. Should be days, not now, confused. Can protect him, yes? Dangerous, but please, we can't. Easy battle, if safe." If these three decided all of a sudden to default on their promise then Tesuga was as good as dead, there would be little helping him. Even if the god was slain then the Dural would remain, and they could certainly do as they desired if their master was gone, which was a terrifying prospect.
