Who and what are you? Xid Terrik, human You might have many masters or causes, but when it is ground down properly, you serve one side alone. Which is it? The Sith Empire or the Galactic Republic? Galactic Republic or Jedi. What do you look like, and how are you dressed? Before I was captured and stuffed in a cage, I was looked just like a healthy seventeen year old teenager. I was considered thin back then too, even when I was well fed, with a lanky and thin built. I’m even shorter than most, reaching up to 5' 7" and weighting at 140 lbs which means I have to look up to meet my Master’s eyes! I also have dark curly blonde hair with a single, a thin Padawan braid resting against my face and it’s something I tend to wrap about my finger when thinking out of habit. White skin and light colored freckles dance about my cheeks, nose and shoulders, that never seem to get tan so I’m not much to look at. I have bright blue eyes that said to hold curiosity and a good heart. My clothing is the basic and traditional Padawan outfit, a white tunic, dark robes and breeches complete with boots. Though now, it’s likely got a single blacken hole at the back of the right shoulder thanks to a trigger happy blaster. Why do you fight? What thoughts and ideas influence your actions? What are the reasons behind it all? As a Jedi, I learned that we protect others and defend those that need aid. Even someone like me, who lack vicious combat skills and only has a few useful skills are useful, can learn to play to my strengths. It helps people in the end instead of hurting them. I want to show that there is much more to being strong then physical power or combat. Do you have any skills that make you stand out from the crowd? I’m rather talented with machines, from the serious and caring medical droids to the down to earth and humble labor droid. I can get almost any type of machine to work from droids to starships, any of them up and running, despite its age. However I’ll admit to having a fondness when working on droids. Unlike most people who look at them, seeing only the wiring, metal and software, I see something more, much more. Something human so I’m use to the odd looks I got when I treat Navi, my navigational droid, with the same respect I would to my peers. With more complex machinery, like starships or say a security system, it takes me more time to properly figure out how it works and I have to get into the wiring beneath or I can’t do much at all. Once in, I merely let my instincts guide me to the right path. Simple. Sadly, explaining how I do what I do is very hard. It’s not that I don’t know what I’m doing but going into details are my weakness. It’s not like I can do a step by step process and expect it to work all the time, each machine no matter if it’s the same make, model or type isn’t affected by the same methods. Like a human, you have to adapt to how you fix it when what it’s not working. I’m patient and rather positive, two traits you have to have to work on machines and under pressure. It takes time despite my skills and try after try to figure out the problem, I can’t tell you how many younglings thought the reason their lightsabers didn’t work was because the Diatium power cell shorted but really it was the fact the primary crystal cracked! How do you relate to everyone else? Do you have any friends, family, foes or subordinates among them? Tolun Fi: I met the Consular Jedi Tolun Fi when I was eight after repairing an imaging device in his lab. At first I don’t think he expected much from me which is understandable, the tech experts had failed and I was just a youngling after all. I wasn’t sure what to expect, not after hearing the Temple help grumble about the alien but I wanted to see for myself and feed my curiosity about him. He didn’t mind my chattering as I fixed his machine and actually I think he enjoyed it, answering them while I multitasked between asking and fixing. After that I spent some of my free time over the years in his lab. I learned about some of his work, fixing and improving his machines in my time in his lab. I admit I missed Tolun Fi after Sela Zythor took me on as Padawan and was fully planning on stopping to his lab, both to show him what I had learned and to catch up on his research progress before the Jedi Temple was attacked. Taia Venthon: I met her after Navi wondered off. The droid, still needing his rustic shell put had wondered off on my and happened to run into Taia Venthon's room! It seemed he took a liking to her right away as I wondering where he had gotten to, the little bot decided to scurry back into the hallway with her in toll. Luckily, she was an understanding and nice woman that I quickly become friends. She often buy parts from time to time, watching me create Navi up until the time I disappeared for my Padawan training. Kinsakwi'teksa: Another Padawan I know, she's a Twi'Lek, that I met before studying under Sela Zythor. We both were 13, she approached me about repairing a broken droid (unfamiliar with the type) and worried about anything it might've seen would be lost. I had to reassure her I was able to fix it no problem, despite Navi's impatience that I was messing with another droid. Afterwards, when she tolerated my chatter, she appreciated my help while going on her way. Off and on we still kept in contact until the day I left for four years. What made you the person you are today? How did the past influence your present? I like to think so because I still remember everything up until my capture. It’s my only connection beyond this cell so let me share with you. It might help pass the time until I’m free. I was born on Coruscant, the planet comprised of cities built on top of them and left on my own. My mother had died during childbirth, even in a place so advanced, giving me my name before she passed to become one with the Force and I’ll never know where my father was. Likely he too is with the Force thanks to the War. After I tested positive, I was spared from the orphanage and taken to the Jedi Temple where my fate was determined and began my life as one of the many younglings. Living in the Temple, I was raised in Jedi ways and grew up around many different races, learning tolerance and acceptance for all. Each one like me, had been taken to the temple and learning to become a Jedi one day and serve the universe. My talent with machines was discovered by pure accident, one of the older younglings’ lightsaber had ceased to work during practice so my natural instinct was to help him. I fixed it in a short time having never touched one before when one of the Masters, Sela Zythor, had walked in on the scene. It was there she realize my interest with machines. Talking to the Order they had decided to test me, in a few weeks I was brought technology after technology, ranging from broken droids to lightsabers, as I easily repaired them using only the Force to guide me. The last item, building a Jedi’s light saber from scratch, the whole thing completely busted that is was the only way to repair it. When I was done, I returned to it its owner. I was surprised that it belonged to none other than Master Jedi Sela Zythor. Needless to say I was little shocked at her faith in me and was glad I could help her. Over the years, the Order had allowed me to advance this skill by repairing machines around the temple while keeping up with my studies. So it wasn’t a long before my room became filled with parts, droids and much more over the years. I was thirteen when I became a Padawan. My Master was Sela Zythor, her past Padawan having his braid cut already while mine was being created, and then presented me with a light saber. It turns out it was the one I fixed, she had saved it all those years. I won’t bore you with the number of missions or training I had to do. Most of it wasn’t as glamorous as others and more in tune with my skills then beyond them. My Master and I returned to the Temple, part of it was because I was home sick and the other was to await until the answer to negations from the planet Alderaan then likely head out afterwards. When we arrived, hours before the attack took place, I ran into a small group of younglings accompanied by a Master along my way back to mine. They were interested in Navi, the navigation droid in my hand. With my droid’s saucer like body and six legs eagerly wiggling, his receptors on stalks swayed about to take in the younglings causing them to smile. That’s when the attack began. Something nasty washed over me, chilling me to the bone as the faint sounds of lightsabers striking each other echoed though the temple. Each one of the younglings knew something was wrong when I did. Instantly the Master left while I tended to the younglings. That’s when they attacked. Just when I was starting to move, something much bigger crashed into the temple rocking its very foundation as I tried to protect the youths. I managed to give them time to run but where they are or if they got away, I'll never know. I was blasted in the back and now, I'm trapped. Would you describe your Lightsaber, if you have made one? If you wield a Lightsaber, which of the Seven combat forms has your order trained you in? Form I: Shii-Cho Describe your preference in the use of the Force. Are you particularly talented in any one area? Do you have flaws in another? What are the limits on what you can or will do? When it comes to fighting, my combat and force abilities are mostly defensive or non-lethal. Not very impressive really in compared to my other strength, my fighting skills is in need of much improvement namely in endurance. I can easily use the basics of the Force and only advance abilities I can use are Force Heal and Droid Disabling. A massive negative to the advance abilities is repeated use of one or combination of the two leave me totally exhausted. I can barely stand afterwards, often crumbling to my knees and leaves me venerable. As I said before, I can use the force to fix machines and manipulate them. It’s instinctive and requires very little thought allowing the Force to guide my fingers, but the larger jobs tend to take longer, requiring some focus and tend to leave me vulnerable. However, I don’t need the schematic or know the model to do this. Merely point me there and let me work, making sure my back is covered. Is there anything else you would like to mention about yourself? Whenever I see droid or machine take damage, I admit it makes me flinch for a moment. It’s like watching an innocent take a hit and as strange as it seems, I can’t help it. It’s like a reflex though most times I can stomach through it when it’s not of mine and move on to the next task. However, if it was Navi or something I’ve made then I don’t know… I have doubts.
