Professor Mystérieux's DADA classroom Henri was in his classroom early before the children even received the breakfast for it was in the foggy hours of the morning that many duels took place, at least those of the deadly kind. As Henri awaited his first students he stood as still as a statue facing an invisible enemy across the field. Those unfamiliar with the skills of a Duelliste in the sport of Duello would not know that as he stood there Henri's most important tool was hard at work; his mind. He went over each spell he could cast marking them down as those honorable an those necessary for survival for in the dim hours of morning or night in the vast grave yards and on the Spanish moss shrouded Islands of the Bayou men an even sometimes women still played the deadly game. It was one such Island that had spelled Henri's career as a Duelliste at an end. It had at the time been a matter of honor, a matter to be settled by the old code, it was where Henri lost the great love of his life. Any who now looked on him saw Henri as a dashing an somewhat rakish figure, their surprise had they seen him when Hadrian Blevins had pulled him from his drunken existence would be priceless. Henri had met the Headmaster when he was a star of the Duello circuit an they'd become friends. Longwalker as the Voodoo Ogan had named Professor Blevins had once loved attending the Duello and even briefly fancied himself as a Duelliste, that is till he attended the "École de la Sorcière Bleue" (School of the Blue Witch) His instructor was Henri, a young man barely 20 years old but a man of impeccable skill and speed. That was were Blevins learned that a Duelliste had to have a speed bordering on prophecy. He had to be able to read his enemy so well that he knew his foe's spells better than he did. Henri had admitted that Blevins was good and in casual duel was a force to be reckoned with but in the Duello he was just a bit too cautious, that he lacked the gambler's edge. Henri returned to the classroom at Hogwarts and reminded himself that he now was a teacher f children. Of course this was a noble pursuit the ghosts of his past far away.
