I would imagine Angels and demons living in a teocracy and lorilai being governed by sets of subconscious logic figments that are integrated in them by default, leaving little place for free will.

Also, I suppose it's obvious but just in case, the angels in Uno Mundus are not like the angels of abrahamic religions, right?
