Guy was taken by surprise when the tree began to fall on him, he may have hit it with a spell made for breaking through iron but he was never all to good at it. Guy rarely used his magic and when he did it was usually to help with a resistance which he only knew a few spells for that as well. As the tree fell he barely caught it and began to to try to push it up. He made no progress and keep it at bay, he wanted to shout to treb but was to embarrassed, instead he just stood there, reminded of his training.
