Oh my gods... 
I just found the one thing aside from a death of someone I care about that can actually make me want to rip my heart out with my bare hands...

NEVER fall in love guys. Especially not with someone you can never meet, and absolutely not with a fictional person. I've done both; it's not worth it. 
Well... it is, but the pain is immense.
