Depends on what you mean by "equal skill"
If a Tarix-na had the strength of a human, the same equipment, the same training, the same reason to fight, etc. and went into a duel on even ground and neutral weather, then i'd say the odds were 50-50.
In the same way, a human that was completely equal to a Lorenvolk in all but size, the human stands a fair chance.
