I believe the reason for the lists of pairings could be for many reasons. Some people it is really just laziness, others prefer to create a plot with another person based off a theme they are both interested in, and some people may hide that they do have plots because they are afraid someone may steal it and use the idea as their own. Although, I do believe the lack of plots being listed is more of a laziness thing. The the reasons for this could be the level of creativity they have, the amount of role plays they have or had and simply need a small break from creating their own plots. But then again there are a number of people that are like 'I'm bored lets rp!' it makes it that the person is willing to do anything, even if it has a good plot or not, just to kill some time until something better comes along. There is also the factor of leaving them open so things aren't totally set in stone, because if they are and there is just one thing people don't like they shrug off the idea and go looking for something else.
