Of course. I did. I went into them skellytunns like a boss, and eventually I learned how to kite them out to the bonfire (they weren't easier or safer, but the arches make them come at you one at a time-ish, and then you can knock 'em down with your Soul Arrow, and even if you die you can hit your bloodstain reliably. So the graveyard to me, on the first playthrough, because an immeasurably powerful level-up mill, and set me up at 25 by the time I hit the burg. 

If people saw 'unbeatable skeleton monsters with giant swords' as anything other than an asset, they're not the kind of people who're gonna enjoy Soul Series.
