"Take us to a blind spot, now." Matt hissed again, releasing his tight grip on the scientist's arm. He followed her down a few passages and through the door that led to the stairs. She walked halfway up a flight, stopped, then nodded. Each floor had a camera facing the landing. They were directly between two of them, just out of range. Matt pushed her against a wall and began whispering. "Listen. I'm just a number too. Right now, I have no reason to kill or hurt you. Hopefully whoever is watching is convinced otherwise. We're going to need your help, though, and you're going to help us. Give me as much information as you can. If you have any data or technology on you, hand it over." He took a deep breath. "It's unlikely that your employers will let you help us, especially if you give us a key card or something. You could try to go back and convince them that you had no choice, but they may have already decided to kill you just in case. The odds are against you. It's in your best interest to get out of here and bring us along."
