Yeah, I vote yes. I commented on this before when you guys had your last fight scene.
Yeah, generally with fight scenes imo the best way of treating them is common sense. I've not dabbled in Arena, but the way I think it mostly goes is people set up posts where they have their character move to attack, and then give the other person a chance to respond by dodging/getting hit etc. Which is all fine and good except I tend to see most people just have their characters dodge it cus ohnoes booboos. But, and I've not posted in Midnight yet so idk how you guys feel about it, I treat combat scenes more dynamically and akin to a show where injuries can be traded etc and it all boils down to common sense and how much you guys trust each other not to go overboard and like... break another character's head. I don't think having your characters injured should be something to be scared of since I don't think anyone's looking to inflict lasting damage. Also, what Fox said where trading small actions back and forth would just take forever... lol.
It all boils down to common sense, really. Trading small blows should be perfectly acceptable, keeps posts moving. Larger ones, either leave it open for the other player or pm/communicate/ask in ooc first. Collabs are a possibility so long as it doesn't take participants forever to write out and they remember the 3 day rule (one reason why I dislike and stay away from collabs is because they take frigging forever, along with other things, and can be an rp death sentence D|). I also tend to think villain/bosses should be granted more leeway to auto-hits too since they should generally be more powerful and be bringing the pain, if they need to force a player character to be weakened and overwhelmed to help make that eventual victory payoff all the more sweeter then hurrah. People shouldn't be afraid of having their characters get hurt. On the flip side, if someone does go overboard and deals more damage/injury then what should be considered possible I'm sure it could and would just be discussed on the ooc with people giving opinions and GMs making a decision on it, with the neccessary edits being made after. :sun
