His home life required him to grow up earlier than most, but still retains the wonder and energy (even if he is still on the demur side of what you'd call "energy") that most kids his age have. The kind of kid who is trustful and willing to help those in need; one who was never taught "don't talk to strangers". It was a town that never progressed much out of its basic settlement stages, despite the many years that it has been around. His early life featured few memories of his father, and an endless play time with his mother, who had always been more like a sister to him. This was due to the fact that his mother never truly advanced out of the mental stage of the child she was now currently raising, and his father's need to take care of both of them as if he were a single parent. Albert had never learned that, at least until the day his father never came back. He was never found, so it was hypothesized by the townspeople around that he had simply fallen off. His mother didn't mind too much, just so long as her son stuck around to play with her. Albert, on the other hand, at the early age of seven, had to take on the mantle of man of the house and take care of his mother much like how his father had done before him. The next year for him was nothing but a chore. He learned how to cook, to clean, when to buy household goods and how to repair torn cloth. What little income they had came from selling vegetables his mother and him had begun growing in a small garden only two years before. Life was hard for them. Food wasn't always available. It had him emotionally grow up at an almost unrealistic rate. Yet they both persevere, day in and day out.
