Ok, sorry about that. I knew I'd need to put down the mouthful of history eventually, so I suppose now will do. My first time, so here we go. (Bear with me here, animlarians come in near the end of this)

The first race to live in the Hitherstar, we're the Xeth'Tar. They grew and expanded through millions of years to developed very advanced technology, and to take over all of the Hitherstar. After advancing as far as they could in this universe, they sought to travel to other dimensions. It took a thousand years, but they eventualy built a dimentional portal. But by this time their government and populace was corrupt and greedy, it is unsure if this played a factor to where the portal opened up, but all the same, they made a grave mistake. Upon opening the portal, the scientific team was met with a hellish world, and within moments all but one of them was rendered insane by the sights before them. The one remaining individual left before the portal closed, and warned the rest of the Xeth'Tar what was beyond. But by then it was too late, the portal had ripped a hole between the dimensions, and now the demons beyond could seep through the crack that was left, and that is exactly what happened. Within a week the world the dimensional portal was on was turned into a massive infested ball of demons, producing one million demon spawn per day. The demons quickly spread, infesting and killing anything in their way. THey constantly adapted against the Xeth'Tar's tactics to stop them, and after 10 years, no signs of the Xeth'Tar ever inhabiting the Hitherstar remained. Another million years passed, before a new race, Kaar, entered into the Hitherstar. The Kaar were a religious race, and this allowed them to use the power of their deity to aid them in killing the Demons. They quickly waged war against the demons, slowly pushing them out of worlds, and then burning the worlds to a crisp to remove all signs of the demonic infestations. This took another couple thousand years to win, but in the end, they drove them all back. They then went about to planting seeds on each world to allow them to grow back and flourish, and then they left. Leaving the galaxy to its own devices. Millions of years passed again before the Animlarians rose to power, as they are now. BUt as they did so, the demons were slowly returning. Widening the crack between dimensions as they did so, and creating more cracks.

And you all will be a Medi-Core security team, or a "Guardian" squad. Your first mission will be to investigate a colony on Kra IV that went dark, Medi-Core of course.
