[/quote] For most cases, borders would represent the extent of immediate influence a nation has on the region. So for instance the border for the Dominion would be the extent of the forest, not so much the extent of the actual nation since it would have no borders otherwise. Same for the barbarians, in that any border on the map for them would be representing the extent of their physical influence. Of course, it would help immensely if you would illustrate this for everyone else.
