Magnus grinned, such parlor tricks were of no use to him. He was a master of illusion in himself, he honed his skill over the many years. Magnus didn't even flinch, he reached out with one his claws and put it on the top of the sword, stepped to the side, and drove his arm down causing the sword and wielder to become disorientated and stumble a bit. Lightning shot the blade whose tip had nearly implanted itself into the ground, she'd hoped Mithias's grip in his disorientated state wouldn't be enough to hold the blade. "Come now Mithias."Magnus said as he turned towards him. "Had you known so much about me, you'd know such petty illusions have no effect on me. You would also know you need precise timing to land such a accurate blow." He briefly looked in the direction of the fire, Mithias was right, if SOLDIER spotted it they'd swarm the area. He instructed his followers to contain and put out the fire as much as possible, he didn't need them, not for this. They stood no match for Mithias anyway. With the amount of water and the speed of the vampires hopefully they could put it out in time. "You would also know, I never run from a fight I have the upperhand in." He said with a grin. He just stood there mockingly, a few feet from Mithias so he would have time to react to and counter his attacks. Magnus had virtually planned the fight in his mind, he would get wounded, perhaps greatly so, but he would be the victor if his calculations were correct. There wasn't much one could do to surprise a vampire as old as he, but there have been such occasions where something unexpected happend, such as the fight between he and Johnathan.
