Personality: Kore is an amalgamation of many(Abet mostly bad) traits. He's prideful to the point of arrogance. He's intelligent and calculating, even while being prone to bursts of anger and hatred. Even without the addition of rage he's both sadistic and brutal, preferring to play with his opponents both physically and mentally rather than crushing a weaker opponent. Prefers these kind of engagements much more than ones that are equal or slanted against him. Will utilize any means to complete an objective, the more one-sided, the better. Origin Myth: A long, long time ago there was once a man. He was a scientist, weak in body, but gifted beyond his fellows by his mind. He dragged forth new achievements, brought forth new discoveries, and aimed to save humanity with his work. It was a golden time for the scientist. His arrogance grew even as he surpassed his peers, and trampled over their work in his alterable march of progress. It was then that the man discovered paranoia. It had only taken a passing glance at the faces of his downtrodden rivals and the look of undisguised hatred that planted the seed of doubt. He recoiled into his work, avoiding contact with the scientific community even as he drove the wedge deeper between himself and his peers. The seed grew stronger with every passing day of seclusion, and the reasons for it began to manifest in every aspect of the scientist's life. Food could be poisoned, he thought. His drink would be infested with parasites, he thought. His assistants could be murderers, he thought. The thoughts built up, and ate away at the once proud man, his weak body wasting away even more, and drove him to a snap judgment to preserve his mind for future generations. The man stole away in the dead of night, and disappeared into his laboratory for a final time. The thing that emerged the next morning was Kore. A malevolent spirit that streamed forth like a demon as metal flew in a cloud around it, wreaking the laboratory and burning the surrounding area, purging all mention of the scientist that had created it. It was years before the Ascendant returned to the limelight, shackled to a group of real-world scientists and forced to do their bidding. Powers/Skills/Abilities:

Ghost in the Machine: The massive hulk of constantly shifting metal isn't Kore's actual form. Instead, the sparkling web of red data and electricity that makes up the glowing insides of his massive figure is the true form of the Ascendant, an electronic ghost that is only able to physically interact with the world around him via a combination of his innate ferrokinesis and the set of laws that govern it. This form, while nigh-indestructible, is able to be reduced to the smallest spark as it suffers from both the advantages and disadvantages of a purely energy-based being. A key example being a lack of any definable 'pain', while there is a constant risk of either grounding himself or a sort of directed magnetic attack.[/*]
Ferrogenesis: While connected to his equipment(The Heart of the Machine), Kore is able to generate the large quantities of metal that make up his body by pushing his energy through the fabrication unit. The process 'exhausts' him, as his usual lighting-fast reactions grow dull and slow for a variable amount of time based on the amount of metal generated. (EX:. A fraction of a second for a small blade, twenty seconds for an arm, a full minute and ten seconds for the entire default body.)[/*]
Ferrokinesis: Kore is able to control the quantities of metal that he spawns via the "Heart", the most notable example being his heavily armored body. There are several rules governing this power, namely that he cannot control a metal shard that is too small, nor can he manipulate any of said metal more than fifteen feet away. Inside the sphere of control, anything within ten feet of the center of his ethereal body is able to be used much more effectively, with the remaining five feet causing any fine movement to be lost as interference. -A subset of this ability functions in Kore's backpack, which houses up to twenty-four metal spikes that are thrown at exceptional speed at selected targets. Once leaving the sphere of control, the trajectory cannot be changed.[/*]
BENDY METAL: Is able to manipulate the plates of metal that are spawned in a way that is unique from the ferrokinesis. Instead of moving the hunk of metal proper, it instead changes the shape of the metal as if it were a liquid. While not requiring the Heart of the Machine, Kore 'exhausts' himself without it.[/*]
Focused Power: The red energy that makes up the AI proper is able to be funneled to a variety of different uses when using the metal as both a focus and at catalyst. -DataBlade: Using the edges of any two metal parts as guidelines, Kore's most basic use of this power is to force out a constantly rushing stream of energy that functions in the same way as a vibration based melee weapon -DataGather: A passive ability of said Focused Power allowed non-harmful arcs of electricity to bounce off either persons or objects that are within the Ferrokinesis range. This harvests small scale data(Such as composition or conductivity of said surface). -DataBolt: Kore's most used mode of attack, a collection of metal fragments is used as a lens for an arcing bolt of red energy that superheats its victim.[/*]
Equipment: Heart of the Machine: Nestled inside the constantly shifting metal plates is the fabrication unit that Kore uses to make his metallic form. Shaped like a cross between an engine and what appears to be a metallic skull, the constantly thrumming object is nearly a foot in diameter, with various wires and pipes arching across the reflective surface. Where the facial structure would be on a regular skull is a deep pit that swallows the eyes, even as a crimson light burns deep inside. It is the key for Kore's Ferrogenesis.
