Mutations: is able to switch between uv (night) vision, thermal vision, and regular vision using a heavy mutation of the hazel eye gene. due to living in heavily radiated areas most of his life his body has become naturally accustomed to it, allowing him to withstand much higher doses as well as go without a gas mask in more areas than most people however this requires that he maintains nutrient and water balance much more carefully or he could pass out very easily 
Weapons: home made bow with 5 home made arrows, an almost endless amount of shivs (it's a lie but it'll seem like it), and a hatchet
Gear: two gallon jugs of water, a whetstone, pocket knife, tee shirt, trenchcoat, cargo pants, backpack, a small stuffed bear he affectionately calls "mr. fluff", a blanket, and carefully prepared meals for a week along with random bits and bobs he could stuff in his pockets from scavenging

Short History: mr. smith is a traveling mercenary often times contracted to do things most civilized people would refuse to do, yet he seems to love them. while little is known about his past due to his penchant for not really sharing with others aside from sharing a swift end on one of his blades of course, but he is known to stare at his bear when drunk for hours on end, growing progressively sadder until disappearing for a few hours
