The majority of characters (all but one I think) are male at the moment. I'm not too sure on the latter, most are decent shooters, quite a few are decent at close quarters (One specialty) and a few of us know at least basic first aid, plus one thief. I think for the role it's just whatever you'd enjoy best, it'll be a great addition no matter what. :)
