Brief History: 

Ao was always used to traveling. Her parents, desperate to get rid of the filthy swamp that they called home they packed what little bags they had and made their way across the Si Wong Desert. It was a pain staking journey, and the sun seemed to burn brighter with every passing day. After the horrible experience, Ao's parents vowed they would not settle anywere that wasn't close to a body of water. When they arrived at the small fishing town, it was perfect. Swamp Benders naturally dealt with bare-handed fishing, so it wasn't anything new. She kept rather secluded, and tried not to socialize, and she found living in this small town was almost equal to the swamp. Until the fire nation came. Her home up in flames, and her parents... didn't make it. So here she was, traveling again, at least she was used to it, because this time it would be just a bit more lonely.
