i just looked it back up. its a simple twist and pull, load, then push and twist back in. there are a few versions that have clips though. from what i have seen its like a miniature bolt action with a stripper clip. the handle doesn't come off but the bullets are pushed down into it.

So i guess its up to you what kind you want to use. its a breeh loader either way. if you didn't have stripper clips to fast feed bullets into your pistol, then you would have to push each one in. though again, there were still versions that had room for only 1 bullet if you still wish to use that.
