"yea it makes sense but its not really helpful information. I dont honestly give much thought to elements other than Spirit. I know if bonded to a spirit that has an associated weapon one can use their magic to create said weapon. however it takes a lot of energy. if the person is already holding a weapon then the spiritual weapon envelops the physical weapon, lessing the cost of magic. If the person happens to be using the same type of weapon, like chaneling a samurai and holding a katana the energy toll is lessened even more. and the magic still envelopes the weapon but doesnt change its shape like it would the example before. now if I were to channel a specific spirit what had a specific weapon, and was holding the specific weapon there would be a very minimal toll on my magic as there is no need to create the weapon since i'm holding it. it will be magically converted to its prime form. 

Now thats all well and good. and I understand that completely however if i dont know how to use the weapon personally it hinders the effectiveness of the possession. im not trying to make a sword out of fire anything like that. but if I held up a sword coated in spirit magic to a flame sword im pretty sure the logic of the non magical world wouldnt be relivent and the outcome would be determined by whoevers will was strongest.
