DESTRINNIAN RENEGADE

Destrinnian is a childhood friend of Bellerophon's, after meeting him in the castle gardens when they were little. Destrinnian's parents were both Council members and had very close connections with the royals, so it wasn't unusual for him to visit the castle. On their first meeting, Bellerophon gave him a flower and from that day on, Destrinnian cherished it like gold It was his first real gift from his first real friend and from that day forth, they were best friends. But their friendship wasn't made to last when Belzeneff had both of Destrinnian's parents executed for treason against the King. Destrinnian was forcibly removed from his home and was relocated to the Under, where he was sentenced to remain until he died. Before leaving, he met with Bellerophon and promised him that they would remain friends, despite that his father killed his parents, and took the flower he had given him to the Under with him. His last name was changed, so that his family's name would disappear forever, and was given foster parents. They were washed out alcoholics who treated Destrinnian like trash and made him do all the housework that they were too lazy to do themselves.

As he got older, he began to run with some of the gangs that reside in the Under and got into alot of trouble. He was known as the Red Rose, because his hands were always stained with the blood of his enemies, and also because of the rose he kept tucked behind his ear at all times. He had used his magic to keep it from wilting and would completely fly off the handle if someone touched it. He hadn't kept up with the news concerning the royal family, so when he learnt that Bellerophon had become an executioner, the very profession that killed his parents, he was enraged. he swore vengeance against the prince, and his murderous father. Seraphion had already been an acquaintance of his before this, so when he saw him again, he asked to join his rebellion. Destrinnian no longer feels any compassion towards his ex-best friend and absolutely detests the royal family, and is determined to kill every last one of them. He still keeps the red rose though, as a bitter reminder that even if something appears beautiful on the outside, thorns that hurt you will always lie underneath.[/center]
