Appearance: 5'10", short dark brown hair, dark green eyes, pale skin (due to being from the north), average to athletic build, weighs 188, decently strong, a comely young man in his early twenties. Nothing to write home about as far as looks.

Clothing (Besides the Night's Watch uniform): Tends to wear greens and browns when not in the Black gear, or if lots of snowfall, will switch to whites and grays. Has blues and blacks for the Night's Watch. Sports vambraces on each forearm, and tends to wear softboots.

Equipment: Two sets of clothing, a cape or cloak (with or without a hood), boots, a pair of soft leather gloves, belt, bedroll, backpack, two large sacks, two small sacks, a water skin, fishing line and hooks, 4 wire snares, a pair of medium-sized metal "jaw" traps, a set of skinning/tanning knives, 6' light chain, 50' cordage, small mirror, a lantern, frying pan and a fire kit (tinder box, flint & steel, fatwood, pine sap nodules, cat tails, char cord, lantern wick, etc) 

Personality: Fairly quiet in unusual situation, likes the solitude of the watch on the wall, or being out in the wild or on patrol. Comfortable in the wild, and decently comfortable around others he trusts, such as his brothers of the Watch (once sworn in). Favors intelligence and wisdom. Smart, assimilates information quickly and intuitively, and can manage disparate sources and make connections quickly. Not given to great bouts of emotion, and instead, tends to plan ahead, thinks before he speaks, and does not waste words. Expects himself and others to perform tasks right the first time, does not do well with sloppiness, has little tolerance for stupidity or time-wasting. Believes that his leaders should be smart enough to take sound advice, as well as recognize intelligence and good ideas around them. Can be a little imaginative, and opens up to people after getting to know them, but it varies person to person, day to day. Loves pitting his skills against man or nature, and always looks to improve things where he can, streamlining and shortening steps without sacrificing results.
