#Lugia 'stole' my idea for a character Will edit my app into this post, although it's not likely to be complete. Btw... I'm actually younger than everyone else, so to speak. As in, I'm 15. However, I won't be disturbed by the elements of discrimination and violence; I've been longing for that for quite some time, actually. RED Pyro, you've just given me an idea- oh, bloody hell. Ignis means 'fire' in Latin (and Sol means 'sun' in... probably Spanish), so it's pretty obvious that role's been taken. Oh well, I'm outta ideas for anything else... talk about a lack of diversity. #Lugia 'stole' my idea for a character again
Quote: [s]"Garrison...? I don't even know how I got that nickname."[/s] "Fight fire with a blue flame, and you will end many battles with peace." Name: Brace "Garrison" Mare Age: 21 Ascended: No Race: Sajukai Species: Descendant Gender: Male Sex Preference: Bisexual (Closeted - prefers to be heterosexual.) Abilities/Powers: -Head-Under-Axe: Brace can use the fire axe for other attacks, although this one is distinct enough to warrant its own power; using momentum, the axe will go overhead and land on something HARD, say a person's head. Obviously, this is typically used in his line of work, as the axe is rather heavy and is best suited for this. Who says it doesn't work as well on people? -Around-the-World: Brace swings his axe in a full 360 degree angle. Of course, the more enemies it hits, the less power it has. There's also a dangerous chance that it may go flying. -Hose-Down: Being a firefighter (or at least equipped with firefighting equipment), water sometimes doesn't fix everything. After all, there's people burning and they have to be rushed to a hospital as soon as possible. This is why the kingdom of Nero was kind enough to supply water that would also happen to heal anyone doused by it. To only Brace so he wouldn't go insane when fighting fires. Basically, Brace can heal others by simply giving them a rinse, although water in his backpack is limited and it's not very effective; it's still in the prototype stage, after all. However, the ability itself still has other uses... for example, getting rid of fires. -Pyromania: Brace goes crazy/becomes a pyromaniac, utilizing moderate fire spells (too vague to actually state) and general combustion. In this state, he doesn't discriminate against enemy or ally, although expresses dismay at the end if he attacks an ally. Interestingly, he becomes fire-resistant (not immune; resistant), and most of his attacks deal some sort of heat damage, even his water powers. (Although Brace will almost never use water in this situation.) -Wasserkrieg: Using all the water in his backpack (as well as some fabricated by magic, depending how stable his mind is), Brace releases a full torrent of water at the enemy. Due notice that all the water will gush out a rather narrow tube (diameter of 4.5 cm) within 3 seconds, so there's a lot of pressure involved. At long range it can cause bruises, but at close range it can cause serious harm. Think of a water jet cutter on skin. As well as having enough force to keep an enemy at bay for about 3 seconds. Weapons: As he makes plans for firefighters, he doesn't actually get into the action. The only reason why he's still on the force is because he's never told anyone of his condition. Despite this, he keeps a fire axe and portable water hose with water ready in storage. More specifically, in his office hanging on some hooks. -Fire Axe: A simple, stereotypical fire axe. It has a silver edge, red axe head and wooden handle. However, an odd property of the axe is the weight of it; it's heavier than typical fire axes. Brace's fire department has continuously lodged complaints at the manufacturers, although they never notice the wonder of being able to break through walls to save lives. -Fire Hose with Backpack and Pump: Light-brown with retroreflective strips and rather big, this bag is to only carry heaps of water. It has been modified by the Nero kingdom to supply medicine-laced water for Brace himself, if he found himself in a situation involving fire. So far, it doesn't work as intended; it has medicinal properties (even when pumped with clean water) but it doesn't calm Brace down during his episodes. Height: 1.78 meters (Down with the imperial system of measurement!) Weight: 88 kilograms (DOWN, DOWN, DOWN!) Physical appearance: Scaly, bipedal, armed with claws and horns... a typical Sajukai, dragon descendant. Brace's cornea is a navy blue colour, due to a cocktail of illegal medication that left him in a coma for two days. He has crimson scales while his chest area has orange scales, running from chin to bottom of tail. His snout and arms have slightly darkened scales in spots and streaks from severe burns. Despite the size of his wings, he can fold them into his back with little trouble; almost like an illusion. His snout is probably slightly longer than a normal dragon's one, as well as his tail, which has scales arranged as a 'Y' at the end. When he wears his firefighter gear, his tail and wings can slip through holes in the gear. The gear itself is dark blue with green and yellow highlights. His mask fits comfortably on his snout and face, which is attached to an oxygen tank on his back. The gear is rather baggy on him, and comes with a dark blue, stereotypical firefighter helmet. His elongated boots are designed for feet like his, and are a rubbery black. The same colour as his mask, which has a reflective visor. Currently, he's wearing normal olive green shorts and a grey shirt with pockets. He's not on active duty anytime soon - rather, he's filling out paperwork. Personality: -Rather quiet and reserved -Becomes psychotic in certain circumstances -Somewhat calm, even during his psychotic episodes (I cannot answer this very well, as... well, where me and several others in this RP used to roleplay, we abolished 'Personality' because it was pretty inaccurate when compared to our character's actual personalities. Anything I say in this section can go horribly wrong, so I can only give out some outlines.) History: Brace was a perfect little boy; growing up in the place he called home, troubling others only minimally, having a bright future at such a young age... except for one thing; he was always fascinated by fire. Obsessed, in a way, if not insane over it. Initially, his unsuspecting parents just thought he was as enthusiastic as the others, being a part of the Sajukai race. Unfortunately, one day, his curiousity got the better of him. Brace and his antics resulted in him burning down his family's home (although luckily for him, it was simply a house to stay in during the holidays). Worried, his parents decided to visit the Nero kingdom as the psychologists they often saw would keep claiming "it was normal." He was covered with burns, which was unusual as the Sajukai were known to be able to control fire to their will. Not only that, but they figured he couldn't handle magic very well because of his state of mind. After a considerable amount of time making an appointment and driving to the Nero kingdom, they were shocked to find he was crazy. Especially at the young age of six. Initially, they started him on some medication, but then they discovered that wasn't working at all. Years passed with a wide range of medication being handed to him, even illicit and illegal medications. Nothing was working, and they were certain a lobotomy probably wouldn't help at all. Eventually, they figured instead of treating the condition itself, they should be inhibiting it. With a grave warning delivered to Brace's parents, they stayed away from Fotia, for a single presence of fire could trigger Brace's insanity. The rest of his life was rather uneventful. Brace and his family moved to Vrondi, where the barriers could actually help him with his condition. He was ridiculed for not being able to utilise magic - he kept his mental condition secret. Schooling was normal (aside from constant teasing), teenage years were normal (ditto), as well as everything else in his life beyond that point. He just wasn't allowed to see fire again. That rule was rather relaxed over the years, but he understood the reason why there was such a rule. Yet, this was why he became a firefighter. Consciously, he held a position to make sure he wouldn't see it; he planned firefighters to different areas of burning areas. Subconsciously, he wanted to see the wavy motions of fire, how it danced across a wooden plank and engulfed everything in its path within seconds... Trivia: -Brace has heard of firearms and other weapons, but is generally uninterested in them. A few catch his eye, though. -The 'bubble' that Vrondi residents use doesn't work well on Brace - he's mentally unstable. -Speaking of which, his mana is rather weak as a result. In his episodes, his mind arranges in a way where magic is possible, but rather destructive. -Rarely attacks using claws or teeth due to fear of psychiatric episode. -Doesn't bother flying at times, even when the situation calls for it. -Rarely, prescribed medicine may work on Brace, but it's often more damaging than beneficial. -A lobotomy will NOT work for obvious reasons.
...I'll admit I have very little time on my hands.
