As he grew older, he realized looting was his expertise and he got better at making and finding useful things ;mainly ammo. At the age of 20, he left the Boomers. On his own now, he soon realized he was not very good in open combat. Thankfully, he had this epiphany while he was traveling with a caravan of merchants and was only slightly wounded. From then on, he tended to stay out of sight and after that, things got simpler. Scavenging became easier and picking off other scavengers was no problem. Fast forward three years. Dan is performing an in and out in Necropolis. Simple job. Good payout. Easy Money. But, things went sour when he left the building. A group of bandits approached him and, armed to the teeth with various melee weapons, they attacked him, apparently high on Psycho. They beat him unconscious, presuming him dead and looting him for all he had. -- 20 Years Later-- Wandering the post apocalyptic world is not fun when most people you meet want to kill you and the rest treat you like shit. Anytime you turn your back you expect to catch a bullet through the skull or a blade in the back. You learn how to survive in the game of life, If you can call it that. Staying alive is most of the work, And when people don't see you, they don't put up a fight. All of these things ran through Dans mind as he strode through the wasteland approaching Hub, just miles of the location in which he awoke as a ghoul. This makes it easier for him to drink and eat.. and much cheaper too.
