In comparison to Lantus, Xanxus had been simply riding an unarmored white horse alongside him before they had stopped to set up a camp for the night in the outskirts of the Plegian territory. Sometimes he had wished that he'd been able to ride a wyvern; they were certainly faster and, in his opinion, more efficient than stallions, especially in the type of terrain they were traversing. Nonetheless, he wouldn't have complained if they had had to go by foot; that's how he had went around through both continents multiple times as a teenager before he came under service of the Ylissean military, and through that, he had grown resistant towards harsh weather increments like the desert. Those little things failed to bother him like it bothered others for some reason; if he was able to do something, then what was holding other people back from doing the same thing? Was it fear, an emotion that he'd abandoned long ago? "Huh," Xanxus had nearly dozed off in his chair, having missed everything except for Lantus telling him about seeking a council with the Plegian King. Him again, eh.. Scoffing, he cupped his hands together and rested them in his lap. "I'll be sure to drop by the castle." Xanxus, revealing a single crimson eye that peered back at Lantus, continued. "Parnell's an old friend of mine, anyway. It's been a long time since I've last visited."
