Kaizo nodded and smiled at Rio "Thank you" Kaizo then sat down as Rio made him another cup of tea, which once it was placed down immediately he picked it up and sipped it ignoring how hot it was. Kaizo then listened to Rio speak then he closed his eyes for a moment before opening them and speaking "I am still unseated within my Squad...unfortunately...As it has no Captain it is hard to get promoted but I wont give up...I'd like to go straight for 5th seat or above but as those have responsibilities I really feel 6th seat would be a good place to sit whilst I get used to the way things work then I'd work my way up...although...saying that...there isn't really many in those seats...the third seat is taken but we haven't seen the guy in ages, it's as if he has died or something..." Kaizo then nodded and sipped his tea before speaking once again "Oh by all means you can finish your report...I could leave if you wanted the peace to focus?"
Rio Okotaru Darishimo "Ahh, I see" Rio continued on with her report while listening to Kaizo. She wasn't the greatest at multi-tasking, but how can a person get better at something if they don't try? "Hmmm, I see you have quite the dilemma there. Well, you don't necessarily need to be named a rank to start acting worthy of said rank. Since your Squad is Captain-less and the third seat is missing, they may need someone to raise up and claim authority. Try and give yourself a little more responsibility, then the others in your squad will see that you are worthy of a title, you're going to have to prove it to someone to be awarded of the title. Take your mission experience into account also. You say you failed but what is the reason for that failure? Was it due to an unplanned intrusion? A mistake in mission details? Or was it due to your leadership? Just think about it for a moment. You managed to lead your group and keep them alive. By the way you looked when I bumped into you, it must not have been easy. That right there would reflect positively on your leadership skill and help prove your worthiness. Yes, you may have failed the mission objective, but you did not fail in leading your group and assure that there were no casualties" Rio then leaned back and looked over her shoulder at Kaizo, giving him a cheerful smile. "I respect that you probably hard on yourself sometimes purposely to push yourself to higher heights, but motivation to improve doesn't always have to be negative you know. Push yourself with both reasons due to both negative and positive experiences. Also, you seem to be pretty sure of your feelings for me, and I believe you fully due to how you've expressed them, trying putting that confidence into your abilities aswell" She then looked forward, back down at her work and let out a little chuckle. "Or maybe I'm rambling on and just creating silly theories or not making any sense... My apologises, it's just been a while since I've had a proper conversation with someone... And I feel like I can talk to you really easily... Which is.. Odd... But good" She smiled again. "And don't be silly Kaizo, you know I'd never want to leave. In fact, I enjoy your company greatly. However, if you have business to attend to then don't let me get in the way, go ahead and do what you need to do, I'll always be here whenever you need me" At this point in time, Rio had felt the happiest she had ever felt before. Just a few moments of having Kaizo in her company had caused her mood to sky-rocket. She felt as if she could do anything and everything as long as she had Kaizo by her side. This made her blush a little while grinning happily to herself and finishing the rest of her work.
