Just realised the stupidity of arguing about the downsides of human language...on a text-based forum

Oh, just thought of another problem in human language.
The amount of times I've been called a "faggot" or "freak" because of my avatar -I use the same one for all forums I go on - and username. I usually shrug it off - I'm used to it by now, but regardless, it's annoying that some people have associated the use of equine-like fantasy creatures, a male (suprise!) and homosexuality together, and somehow interperet that as negative.
