Basic premise, the world starts out happy and shiny or whatever :D in a kingdom/city/village run by Steve
everything's happy till catastrophe strikes 
and when the smoke clears, Steve is gone
the remaining characters (you could be a testificate or a player) have to find steve because the world is collapsing and unless he's found before it does everyone is lost forever in the code
