Amelia heard Lady Violetta say
[B]"Amelia and Izumi , please step over here. I have your new equipment for you.
Let's get the two of caught up with the others. I'll have the two of you Imprint your laptop and then later on you may read the Orientation Lecture Notes tonight."[/B]

[B]"Each of you may choose a room of your own. When we get upstairs, there will be 10 student rooms numbered 1-10. To open one, just place your hand on the door plate for about 30 seconds so that the door will imprint your unique aura. You may look around your room but I would like to get going rather quickly so that you may choose a pet. Please follow me to the Spiral Stairs."

There were no steps to ascend but then the Head Mistress said
[B]"Just place your hands on the railing and tell the Spiral Stairs where you would like to go. Do as I do." [/B]
She said then turned to face the Stairway and placed her hands on the railing.
[B]"Bedroom floor, please."[/B] Lady Violetta slowly went upwards in a circular motion. Once she was at the top, she was floating on air and knew to step aside which she did.
[B]"Please step aside so that others may get upstairs safely...."[/B]

Amelia was delighted with the strange display of arcane technology and quickly followed suit. Once at the top the Head Mistress told them 
[B]"Everyone go choose a room and place your hand on the metal plate to imprint your aura on that room. Please take a look at your room. The colors and patterns of your room as well as the furniture arrangement can be decided later and changed by your laptop. I'll meet you back here in 10 minutes."[/B]

Amelia patiently waited for the others to chose their rooms before walking to one of the unchosen rooms and placing her hand on the plate. 
The idea of a room of her own thrilled Amelia as she'd never known such a luxury having grown up as a ward of the state
