Nathan had no idea who this guy was, all he knew was that he was strong and had to be stopped, which fortunately was all he needed to know. Nathan would be the first one to admit that he wasn't very book smart, hell, he barely passed his academic classes in the academy...but he wasn't stupid. If there was one thing he knew how to do; it was fight people stronger then him. During his early days of life after his parents had been killed, he was put in situations where he was forced to fight people stronger then him, so he had to get smart about how he fought. While his specialty was fighting opponents much larger then him, he still felt that he could work with what he had here. If his dialog and outfit were anything to go by, this guy was clearly a cocky man. One who most likely didn't think much of Nathan...perfect. One thing that Nathan had a hard time understanding is why people seemed to dislike being underestimated, if people don't take you seriously, you can easily surprise them As Nathan ran at the strange man right behind his fireball, he knew right away that his magic ball of fire wouldn't do anything to him, he most likely had a shield of some sort up to block it. That was okay though, the fireball wasn't meant to hurt him. The strange man most likely thought that the fireball was meant to hide Nathan as he ran up to punch him with a flaming fist. It wasn't a bad assumption, it certainly made a lot of sense...however, it was wrong. Not only that, but it was what Nathan wanted him to think. So right before the fireball hit the strange man, Nathan took his fist that he had been charging with fire magic and punched forward... ...hitting the ground. Quickly pumping all the fire magic he could though his arm into the ground, both Nathan and the strange man were soon enveloped in a large pillar of fire that erupted right underneath them 'it's so easy to trick someone when they think they know your plan' he thought to himself
