Name Alexander Pollux Alias Apollo Age 20 Sponsor Giganta Personality Curious, Logical, Empathetic Powers Solar Energy Absorption/Manipulation: Apollo can absorb and manipulate mystical solar energy for multiple purposes. He uses this power to create his arrows, and heal wounds, as well as create intense heat and light for various purposes. Demigod Physiology: As an Olympian/human hybrid, Alex's body is far superior to that of an ordinary human. He can lift approximately 2 tons at maximum, run far faster than any human athlete (Though not a speedster) and has superhuman stamina. His body can endure massive punishment. Small caliber firearms only leave bleeding scratches on his skin, and his bones and epidermis are superhumanly dense. Olympian Steel armaments: Though not technically a power in and of itself, Alex's armour and bow were forged by the smith-god Hephaestus, and given to him as a gift from his father. They are virtually indestructible, and possess special qualities which augment his own powers. His bow works as a channel for his natural ability to manipulate solar energy, allowing him to create special 'hard-light' arrows with varying degrees of lethality. This allows him to subdue weaker enemies without lasting harm, or blast more monstrous enemies into oblivion. His armour augments his already impressive endurance, allowing him to take blows as if he were a daxamite or kryptonian. Superhuman accuracy: As the son of the god of Archery, Alex's accuracy, precision and skill with a bow go above and beyond that of most humans. Weaknesses Sunlight reliance: Alex's powers rely on his ability to 'charge' himself from solar energy, much like a Kryptonian or Tamaranian, and he will grow weaker if he is kept from seeing the sun for too long. Naivete: Alex has led a sheltered life so far, having grown up on Themyscira as one of the very few male guests, and is naive to the ways of the modern world. Coupled with his curiosity and good-natured personality, this can lead to him being taken advantage of. BRIEF Bio Born as the illegitimate result of a forbidden passion between the Olympian God Apollo and a mortal woman from the island of Themyscira, Alexander's birth killed his mortal mother, leaving him effectively orphaned, since his father could not claim him. By Amazonian law, he was permitted, as one with the blood of the Gods, to live among the women of Themyscira. In his early years, he, like anyone else borne to the Amazonians, spent most of his time training for combat, and studying the arts. He developed a talent for archery, and trained with Wonder Woman on occasion to harness his powers. Despite this, he never truly felt that he fit in on Themyscira. When he reached the age of eighteen, he was visited in secret by Hermes, the messenger of the gods. Hermes brought a message from Alexander's father, along with armaments from Olympus itself. Apollo's message was one of hope, expressing confidence in his son's abilities, and imploring him to utilize them for the greater good of humanity, rather than hide them away on Themyscira. Alexander took up the bow and armour his father had given him, and left Themyscira, only pausing to say goodbye to Princess Diana, with whom he felt a kinship. Arriving on the mainland of the united states, he set about fighting crime and villainy where he could find it. After two years of this unsanctioned crime-fighting, he was greeted by a wary government and the reformed Giganta, with a proposition. Due to the ban on any non-league or non-sponsered heroes in the United States, Giganta informed Alex (who had, by this time, taken up his father's name) that he would need a sponsor if he intended to fight villainy like his father had suggested. Given her experience with Demigods and the Amazonians, Giganta offered to sponsor Alex, and take him to Star City. Alex begrudgingly agreed, slightly frustrated that the son of a God required political sanction to perform heroic deeds. Notes -Giganta chose to sponsor Alex because she had prior experience with Wonder Woman, and the Greek Pantheon. It is rumored that she was asked to sponsor him by Wonder Woman. -Alex is uncomfortable around males, having only seen a few in his life. They tend to intimidate him.
Finished finally.
