Teachers do exist.
Maka is now a teacher with Soul as her assistant.
Stein teaches his class with help of Marie.
Joe wanders around the halls of the academy until he's needed for something.
Sid is teaching once again, and his partner Nygus is now the academy's nurse.

I might add some more teachers later on, but that's the staff right now.
