Ryuu Yamauchi "Yeah, yeah, I'm a-okay. I don't really give a... crap about face punches," Ryuu grumbled in a monotone voice, having just recovered from his crazy reaction to Serena. He then proceeded to go ahead and buy some biscuits and donuts: the donuts for David, and the biscuits for the kitsune and himself. The otaku was not amused by his own screw-up, but he accepted that it was unable to be reversed. So, instead, all he needed to do was start making redeeming actions. But what actions would actually make him look decent again? Just as he was wondering, Serena asked David on what powers the boy had. Now that he thought about it, he was curious. He supposed that it was something digital-item related, though one could never be a fortune teller so easily. Ryuu brought a tray filled with donuts and biscuits, attempting to enter the conversation with at least something in mind. After all, David seemed pretty interested in the girl, so he might as well give the spotlight to him. "I'm able to control plasma," Ryuu said, the grin of a devil on his face (he was unconscious of it). He then added in a full-on lie, telling the two, "I'm not really confident in it, but hey, it's pretty useful when you don't have a lighter! Too bad it doesn't come with lighter fluid... Mweh heh..." Ryuu, whose face softened a little when he stopped thinking about creating a lightsaber on fire, looked at David in anticipation. He was a pretty interesting kid, though people would easily misjudge him as someone who just wanted the computer addict's money. --- Jeanne R. Cortez Eventually, Cortez finally stood up, her eyes lit on fire. "Yar, ha-har!" She exclaimed triumphantly, finally motivated to move out of the cafeteria. "Now, I shall set sail for the gardens! Or the dorms! Or anywhere!" Her chest puffed out in pride, the captain of the Screaming Pearl began to walk out of the cafeteria. On her way, however, she accidentally bumped on a man wearing sunglasses, who simply gave her an evil-looking eye. He was carrying a tray filled with... lots of donuts and biscuits. "Careful," he said with a tone of concern, though he scared her to death with the look of a nightmare's monster. She scurried away, leaving the main building quickly. --- "B-B-Blimey!" Cortez panted, heading to the gardens with an exhausted body. "To think that I'd meet the devil so early in the gusty day...! I need me luck to haul wind properly and run a shot across the bow, aye!" The red-haired pirate captain took several deep breaths before continuing to head to the gardens. From what she heard, there were people frequently visiting the place, and it was usually filled with serenity. Starting in a calm place would certainly help her, and that was what she wanted. After all, she was unprepared to face that demon of a human again. Seeing him made her want to call out for her father. Eventually, she reached her desired destination. The gardens, in her eyes, were magnificently beautiful. Her mouth was agape, her eyes wide in astonishment, as she looked around the pretty structure of the place. As a person who generally did not see these works of arts regularly due to her life at the seas, she was taken aback by how exotic the gardens looked. She did enter forests before during treasure hunt missions, but they were mostly scary places. "Methinks that these gardens are worth tons of the treasure I collected!" Cortez said, still amazed by her life-filled surroundings. She had no idea of the fact that her treasures were far more expensive to retrieve than the plants around the gardens, but none of that exactly mattered greatly to her. Allured by the unfamiliar, but relaxing place, Cortez leaned over a patch of roses. "So strange, methinks," she whispered quietly. "They are as red as... my hair... wow..." She apparently forgot about her initial goal in arriving at the gardens, but she was bound to remember soon.
