Name - Shuya "Steve" Denzan Alias - Raiix or just Rai. Age - 21 (Chronologically), 17 (Mentally). Power[s] - Electrokinesis, or the ability to generate, manipulate, or become electricity. This can be as arcs, blasts, pulses, waves, beams, balls, etc. Note: Steve's electrical attacks range in power from being flicked to punching fist-sized craters in solid concrete, however the voltage never raises higher than very nasty static shocks (not enough to stun like a tazer, but enough to leave a burn). This is a subconscious block. Without it even he isn't sure what would happen. But he can taze your ass by making skin-to-skin contact, dropping the target like a twitchy sack of potatoes, and in extreme cases can act as a defibrillator. As a side-effect, his relfexes are slightly higher than normal, and he heals faster. Not Wolverine fast, but minor wounds are gone in about an hour and normally fatal injuries tend to just leave scars. Steve can hover by emitting small pulses under his body, but he can't move from that position very much unless he turns into electricity and "teleports" (he's just moving very fast) up to 30 feet in a straight line as long as he can see his destination (don't wanna run into a wall). So semi-flight is possible, but difficult to control. However he CAN travel through things that have a current (like power lines) al a Electro. Lastly, Steve can absorb electricty from outside sources to re-charge his energy reserves. Weaknesses - Water. Just straight up water. Shorts out his powers and in large quantities (lakes, oceans, rivers) can turn them against himself, possibly even killing him. Oddly enough, however rain is just fine. How long at the Institute - 2 years Favorite subject - Gym Favorite teacher - Storm. She was always so motherly, something Steve badly needed. On his own, "Steve" had to fend for himself on the streets for 13 years, during which he gained a withdrawn and introverted personality. Eventually he made his way to New York, specifically Westchester County. Using his ability to travel along power lines, Steve sneaked into a massive mansion to try and steal some food, but was caught immediately by the house's owner, a man named Charles Xavier. Steve expected to be sent to jail, but to his surprise, Charles invited him to stay and learn how to control his powers in a safe environment. Luckily for Steve, he broke into a school for Mutants and this man was the Headmaster. Enticed by the thought of a warm bed and full stomach every night, Steve happily accepted. For the next two years he gained a few friends and slowly managed to overcome his shyness, becoming confident with who and what he is around his friends and around acquaintances, even regaining a few of his memories, like his true name, although he still goes by Steve. However he is still very shy around people he's not familiar with... unless you talk about things he likes. Then he won't shut up. Notes - Steve is a great street brawler, using a personal free form style... in that he really has no style. He just punches and kicks when he can and takes advantage of the environment and his abilities. He also has a tendency to name his attacks. He's not dumb enough to call them out (usually), but he likes to name them. He also likes to use different catchphrases. Normally he just uses "Let's make this showy", when he's having too much fun "BLOOD & THUNDER!!!", and when he's dead serious "Let's get dangerous". Sometimes he'll make on up on the spot, but these three are his favorites. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Relationship Sheet: Shuya "Steve" Denzan - Shy, Geeky, Fun - 21 (Chronologically), 17 (Mentally). F - Friend, E - Enemy, N - Neutral, L - Love Interest A quick thought on each as to how you view them, your opinion of said character as well as their relationship listed above^^^ Pyra - Sarina Saunders: My best, good friend, though I wish we could be more. Sarina was the first student here who was nice to me, and helped me open up to the world. I would do almost anything to keep her safe and make her happy, even though she's more than capable of both herself. Just... don't... don't piss her off. It took a month for my eyebrows to grow back in properly. F/L Bass - Caleb Idlett: Another one of my good friends, Caleb is a ridiculously upbeat guy. I honestly don't think I've ever seen him get mad at anyone or anything... except that one time I called him a jock... yeah... that was a nasty fight. But I'm glad it happened, or else we wouldn't be the friends we are today. And I gotta admire the guy for gathering up enough courage to ask Heidi out. They look so happy together. F Raiix - Shuya 'Steve' Denzan: Me. Well, what can I say? I'm... just me. I am who I am, I am what I am, and no one can take that away from me... or at least that's what Sarina says. N. Elixir - Aaron 'X': Aaron is a really nice guy, just as much as Caleb, but in a different way. Always using his powers to help. But it seems like his self-confidence is far too dependent on the opinions of others. He actually reminds me of myself, when I first came here. Poor guy. He really needs some to talk to. Maybe even light a fire under his ass. Heheh, see what I did there? Because Sarina... and her fire powers... and they talked, like she did me... and... it... helped... *Clears throat* Moving on. N/F. Prodigy - Heidi Williams: Heidi, the last in my circle of friends, but by no means the least. Heidi is an amazing woman. She's very kind and VERY smart. And she's very attractive. What? Just because I like Sarina doesn't mean I don't appreciate the female form. But she's dating Caleb, and I would never dream of doing anything to interfere in their relationship. They're perfect together. F. Scattershot - Jacob Jones: Not sure what to make of this guy... he wasn't around me much. But his powers are nifty. N. Eye Spy - Jay Redmond: This guy... Yep. Not sure what to say. I mean, get past the boundary problems and Jay is a pretty cool guy, and I won't lie. I'm a smidge jealous he can peek on cute girls... but he won't stop looking at Sarina. He knows it bugs me. I've asked him to stop. But I know he isn't. And I don't like it... not... one... bit. But other that that, we're pretty cool. F/E Chimera - James Venture: James is a nice enough guy, but his tattoos creep me out a bit. I mean, I get it, with his powers and all, but still... ouch. Although... they are kinda cool. And his music is pretty cool. N. Animus - Zhayne Spencer: Zhayne is okay. I mean, he's a bit stubborn, but so am I. Although he can be a bit lazy sometimes. I will admit, I was surprised to hear he was gay, but honestly... I think we're all gay, it's just to what extent are you gay. So, no big. N. Sage - Laurie (last name unknown): Well, she's kinda cute. But she reminds me of someone famous... ah, well, whatever. She's... interesting, to say the least. Although her time sense is curious... I wonder if I could ask about me and... no... I'd rather not know. Half the success is the journey.... and it sucks. N. Odin - John Smith: I'm a little disturbed by this guy. Not only did he change his name, but he's a (former) mutant hater working as a janitor in a school for mutants... It's just... odd. But everyone deserves a second chance. Even mutant haters. And the teachers DID vouch for him. That's good enough for me. Huh? How do I know his past? I read his Character Sheet... duh. N. V for Vanquish - Jeanvieve "Vivi" Monceux: Okay, normally I'd have nothing to say to someone like this, but Vivi... Please stop telling me my freeform fighting isn't as effective as using an ACTUAL martial art. I don't give a damn. I'm a street brawler, through and through. If a martial artist comes at me, Imma taze them. Simple. Okay? Okay. Jeez. N/E (but only because she annoys me about my hand-to-hand).
