At night, most Naqah prefer to be in bed.
Also, the sheer darkness of the surrounding forests would likely stop anyone from seeing much further than the walls. 
The problem with forests is that they make enemy movement nearly undetectable, but it's also good for our lightly armoured units to take on heavier foes, who will get caught in the branches.
