Ntaaj Thaiv - Trusted Traitor Teth, home of Gastropods and criminals. At least that's how Ntaaj sees it. While not the worse planet in the galaxy, it's corruption and illegal activities was fairly obvious for those who won't turn a blind eye. But it was also obvious that it was in controlled situations, not complete anarchy. The thugs here weren't just organized by gangs; they worked as a unit, trained and experienced. Petty crimes like pickpockets or thieves were almost entirely done by small name, down-on-their luck fleshbags with no ties to anyone important. Well, except to Ntaaj. Saved him food expanses. After devouring one man who tried to cut his purse, the cyborg walked to his intend destination; a Catina. Here he wanted to meet up with a business associate. It was thanks to him that Ntaaj managed to sneak away from the Sith academy without being bogged down by authoritative legislation or by hijacking a ship and making an escape. Even managed to bring his land speeder. But there was also another deal that interested him, but he'd need to find his contact first. Finding the Catina was easy enough. Getting into it would be a bit more difficult. There were two bouncers at the door. They didn't seem to stop anyone from entering until he decided to step up to the entrance. "Name." They asked. Ntaaj already knew that if he gave them his name, he'd put himself at risk of being found by his enemies. And it's not like his name was on the list anyways. The bouncers were likely just trying to get a quick credit from him since he wasn't from the area. Both of them were Gamorreans, because of course when you wanted intimidating brutes you went for the anthropomorphic Suidae. Well Ntaaj wasn't going to bother playing mind games with these things, even though even his force persuasion would likely be enough to manipulate these weak-minded thugs, so he made it quite simple for them. To the one on his left he pierced his head using the Flechette launcher built into his left palm. When he dropped Ntaaj quickly scooped up his club and used it to bash the other Gamorrean in the face. While he was still stunned Ntaaj drew his DT-57 pistol and fired a few shots into the Gamorrean's chest and on in the chin. He fell over, dead, as Ntaaj continued on his business. Inside the Catina no one seemed to mind Ntaaj's presence or what he did just outside their doors. Suited him just fine, it wasn't worth mentioning anyways. He looked for his business partner, a Squib named Anema. It wasn't hard to find him; vibrant green fur, trademark droid mask, and an oversize Tensor Rifle on his back. Being inconspicuous wasn't something that Anema was good for, but he was a skittish and fast furball. If anyone wanted to capture him, they'd need a military grade tractor beam to keep him in place. Ntaaj want over to his table and sat down, provoking the squib's attention. "Eh, who are you...? Care for a game of Pazzak? Chips where I can see them!" It was an old routine Ntaaj and Anema developed to ensure that they were speaking to the right person. Ntaaj started with a bet of ten credits, followed by Anema raising the stakes to thirty. Ntaaj matched it and the two began. The game went on with seemingly no noticeable pattern. Ntaaj won the first set, Anema won the next two, and Ntaaj took the last two sets and won the pot of 300 credits. What was important, however, was the cards Ntaaj Stood with on his winning hand. He used nothing but Plus Cards, adding up to nineteen (Three plus sixes and a single plus one). He did this even though he had little over twenty cards in his hands, any of which could have added up to twenty easily. After collecting his winnings, Anema smiled as he took his cards back. "Been a while since we seen each others face. How's the school going for ya yet? Teach those snobs a thing or two?" Ntaaj didn't answer and just looked at Anema. He twitched a little before changing the subject. "Yeah yeah yeah, business as usual. Alright come with me, you'd want to see this." Anema hopped of his his seat and adjusted his Tensor Rifle so that ti didn't bump into his heel or drag across the ground. Ntaaj stood up and followed him, shortly after a few other shady figures as well. Anema led Ntaaj out of the Catina and to a private space dock. There Ntaaj saw Amena's ship, or what passes as one. Since the Squib was a lone smuggler, he didn't bother making much space for guest unless they were going into the storage hold. The ship was comparatively small in that regard, with it's cockpit just barely large enough for Amena. But it was fast, and had just enough defensive systems to evade all manner of weapons without making it slower than a moon. The squirrel creature led Ntaaj to the back of his ship, opened up the Storage Hold, and dragged out some sort of large black box half his size. After fiddling with many locks and key combinations, Amena opened it up and revealed a head-sized device. "Here it is. Ain't she a beut?" Ntaaj was about to comment that he had no idea what the squib was talking about until he got a closer look at it. than he was impressed, if only a little. "A Gravity Well Projector. A miniature one at that." He had been wanting one of these, but never expected to see it ever made in his time. It was much too small to be use on a large scale such as stopping a ship's hyperdrive, but it would allow the use of Repulsorlift technology in zero-gravity environments. Like space. "Yeah, had word that some smart folk were making one of these, it's a prototype. Had me and little crew go and take it, thought you'd like it. Did some tinkering with it, and we're sure we can install it into things like yer Land Speeder, or even a Repulsor Jetpack!" It was certainly an interesting find. Ntaaj went over and examined the Gravity Well Projector move closely as Amena stepped back. But of course, soon after Ntaaj sensed a disturbance in the force. He felt it ever since he left the Catina, but being on Teth, he always knew danger was right around the corner. but now he could feel the danger right behind him. The sound of the Tensor Rifle buzzing to life alerted him quickly. He turned around and aimed his right hand at Amena. From his arm a faint black light shot out from his hand and towards Amena's Tensor Rifle, which was already drawn. It was a tractor beam, too weak to pull someone of even a Squib's size, but strong enough to rip the rifle out of his hands. Ntaaj swung the rifle at the Squib, but the little fuzzball was quick on his feet and managed to scurry off. And he almost got away too, if Ntaaj didn't fire a grappling hook from his left arm that pierced through the Squib's arm. Anema cried in pan, but it was soon muffled with Ntaaj's hand, which was wrapped around Anema's neck. "Traitor. Who paid you? Which one wanted me dead this time?! You know there's only one way this will end, you can chose if I kill you quickly or slowly." Ntaaj lighten his grasp around Amena's neck to speak, but not enough to let him go. "I-I-I-I don't know! I was caught by a Sith guardsman and they were going to imprison me for thirty years on smuggling charges! They said I had one chance to escape the charges, and that was if I got rid of you! Please please please don't kill me! Look, you can have the Gravity Projector for free! Just don't kill me please! Let me go!" The squib than began to babble incoherently about mercy and wanting to live, but Ntaaj wasn't going to have any of it. He could still feel the disturbance in the Force, meaning danger was still near. Tightening his grip around the Squib's neck to ensure he was more quiet, Ntaaj peeked out from inside the Storage Hold, only to near had his face shot off by a blaster round. "More assassins. Looks like I still have a use for you after all." The Squib wiggled out of Ntaaj's grasp long enough to say something. "Yeah, I can help you fight-" He didn't get to finish his suggestion when Ntaaj drew his DT-57 pistol and stepped out to trade shots with his assassins. He used Amena's body as a shield, absorbing a few bolts before tossing his limp corpse at one of the assassins. There was four he saw, one he just disabled using Amena, another he managed to kill within his first volley of blaster fire. Ntaaj quickly ran towards cover and used it to take out a Thermal Detonator. When he got out of cover he tossed it towards the two remaining fighters, both who scattered. Ntaaj used the chance to shoot one of them in the leg, causing him to fall to the ground. The Thermal Detonator did not explode, however, because Ntaaj didn't arm it. He just threw it to get the other assassins out of cover. He waited to see where the other assassin went to, but soon things became quiet. Ntaaj could still sense danger, but now he needed to take this chance to finish off the two disabled assassins and get his grenade back. He used a force jump to cover the distance, first getting to the assassin he shot in the leg. Another shot to the head ensured that he won't be a problem. The other assassin just got Amena's body off of herself when Ntaaj went over and kicked her gun of her hand hand, and used the blaster from one of the other assassins to execute her. That was three down, but where was the last one...? After retrieve his grenade, Ntaaj scanned the area. His sensors weren't picking up any heat signatures or cloaking, but he could still feel the presence of danger. Only than did it dawn to him what he was facing against. "Droid-" The assassin droid dropped in from above. Ntaaj only had enough time knock it's blaster away with a swing of his fist, only to lost his own when the droid did the same. The weight of the robot fell onto Ntaaj, and would have crushed him to death if weren't for his own cybernetic carapace. The two engaged in a moment of grappling before Ntaaj tried to shoot it with his built in Flechette launcher, but the droid was able to dodge the attack without sustaining any damage. It than drew two Vibroblades from it's arms and charged at Ntaaj. With the odds not in his favor, Ntaaj played defensively, dodging and weaving through the attacks and trying to put as much distance between him and the droid as he could. He jumped to his blaster and used it to fire some shots at the droid, but it was able to deflect the bolts with it's vibroblades. "Bastard!" There seemed to only be one way to deal with this threat. The droid came close and slashed, but Ntaaj banked right and dodged the attack. he fired his blast point blank into the droid's left arm, burning a hold through it and cause it to drop one of it's blades. The droid than spun to stab Ntaaj, but he was quicker on the draw. Ntaaj aimed his right palm at the droid, and launched his lightsaber from it's storage space inside his arm, directly towards the droid's face. Just as the lightsaber bounced back from the impact Ntaaj grasped it and made the blades extend. One of the crossguard blades pierced through the droid's shoulder armor, before Ntaaj brought the entire blade downwards and cleaved the robot diagonally. "What a mess." Back at his land speeder, Ntaaj was chewing on a bit of Amena as he awaited the arrive of Dark Lord Nyiss. In the back of his Land Speeder was various bits of tech he scavenged from the bounty hunters and Amena's ship. Hidden in a secret compartment, however, was the real prize; the ALTR-1. The ticket he needed to appease Dark Nyiss and earn his place among her counsel. And once he had integrated himself among her most trusted, than he could finally begin setting into motion his one desire. But one step at a time of course; he had to wait for the arrival of his Dark Lord. In the meantime, he made a checklist of things he'd need to add to his systems, as well as other supplies he'd have to get now that Amena was no longer a contact.
