“P-Party?” David mumbled. Then he remembered. The party Criston talked about a few minutes ago. That too brought up some unpleasant memories. He’s gone to a few parties in the past. But the last one happened to be a pool party. However his friends seemed to have ‘forgotten’ to add the ‘pool’ part. So when he arrived at the home and was lead to the backyard. The second he saw the pool his heartbeat skyrocket. He tried to act normal back then. But never entered the water. Until an drunk idiot happened to think it would be funny to throw a fully clothed person in the water. He remembered those seconds like it was yesterday. Luckily some people noticed that he couldn’t swim and quickly helped him out back then. Never the less, Serena was going. And Ryuu too. He felt sort of obligted so he said: “I guess I’m going. As long as I don’t have to dance.” He said with a smile. And please don’t ask why I don’t want to dance. And please let them forget about my abominations. Please God? Or Gods? Or great, divine spaghetti-monster? he prayed in his mind. Not that it would help him much. If there was a divine creature, then it was either cruel or a jester in David’s eyes. But then he was given a choice. Serena had taken a seat at a table. Ryuu sat on the other side. Should I sit next to Serena? No, it’s already weird. Maybe I say something stupid, or do something stupid, or both. Probably both. But if I sit next to Ryuu won’t she think the compliments were false? Idiot, why would she think that? But if I sit next to her she might think I’m interested in her. Am I? No! No no no, you’re not. Put those thoughts out of your head! but David had glanced over her. She was playing with her hair. He didn’t know what to feel. It confused him. But the playing with her hair. Somehow he just wanted to watch that, gapping at her. And for a split second he was Don’t watch her! Don’t look at her! Stop this madness! Take the seat next to her! That way you don’t have to look at her playing with her hair. his mind tried to reason with him. Without question he obeyed and took the seat next to Serena. Quickly he grabbed the doughnut from the plate and started eating from it. Not so much because it was delicious, and it was, but because he just wanted to stop thinking for a second. Not that his mind really stopped thinking. He just stopped listening.
