Jeanne R. Cortez The pirate captain simply stared at the man playing the strange device. He stopped and told her that she scared him, though she only responded with a stare. She was happy to find him play another one of his strange, but great music. Cortez brought her knees up to her chest, her arms stuck tightly between them, as she continued to observe and listen to the student. It was a strange feeling to see him play music, but it made her feel warm in the inside. The song somehow made her forget about some of the tense emotions she had been feeling recently. And then, a new sound emit from somewhere. Cortez's head darted back and forth, wondering where this new sound was coming from. It was an elegant harmony between two foreign devices she never heard of, but it made her feel like she was in a fairy tale. Soon enough, a woman entered the Student Center with some sort of exotic device on her lips. Cortez's eyes followed the woman, her mouth slightly open, as she saw her move to the man playing with his own instrument. Were they friends? They seemed to share a great synchronization. Cortez, feeling a little too respectful for the skilled musicians, quietly clapped her hands. She was unable to understand how the strange-looking things they held produced such awesome sounds. Blimey... I wonder if I can play like that some day. It would help me crewmates do their darn jobs correctly...
