[/quote] I wasn't talking about our characters taking a beating. Rather, beating the crap out of our enemies. Which is what I meant when I said we shouldn't use our enemies durability as just a chance to show off our powers. Think about how hectic that would get if we fought, say, Doomsday. We're not trying to destroy the city here. Also, the GM has a plan for where he wants the story to go, and it probably doesn't end with Star City being destroyed on one of our character's earliest missions.
