Just so everybody knows, I will always post important messages throughout my post in the following manner: --- important message --- I will repeat all of them at the end of my post since I like to work with hiders and you're probably not going to read all of them. I'll put your name(s) in the name of the hider if I think it's relevant for you. Though I have found out that hiders don't work with quotes... D:
For appearances do you want realistic pictures? Or do you not care?
As long as people get a proper understanding of how your character looks it's fine. How realistic the picture is is all up to you
Name/Nickname: Alexia "Shade" DarklingAge: 20Sex: FemaleHetero/Homo/Bi: HeteroFaction: ScientiaPosition: Head ChemistGet scienced!
Add a personality and your char is good to go. (That's my fault btw, that you didn't make one, sorry) --- Guys, I forgot something in the CS part, there is now also a thing for your characters personality. ---
Hello everyone I know...I am not here to stalk and am instead here to address my desire to join. My last and third casual RP died last week and I have been craving a new one. Seeing as this is new and so I wouldn't have to adjust to much I would love to join If you'll have me. My CS will be up soon if no one has any objections to me joining in the first place. Of course bring all arguments to PM.
Yeey!
Omg I'm still totally up for this I just need to read all the stuff in the first post then I'll work on my CS :)
Yeey!(2)
Name/Nickname: Dominic Wales, Dom, Officer Whales Age: 23 Sex: Male Hetero/Homo/Bi: Faction: Trin, Internal Defense Force Position: Police Officer Appearance: Dominic is your average young man, standing at about 5'10" and 176lbs. His blond hair is kept short in a crew cut, and he has piercing eyes of a sky blue with a rigid jaw line. His build is athletic to match the needs of his job as a police officer. He has a peach tone to his skin and can often be found in his uniform, short sleeves if allowed. Most would say he has a serious face, lips often drawn taught in a judging frown. Biography/Backstory: Dominic lost both his parents after the Mutation, shortly after the South Wall fell. He was bounced around from foster home to foster home, much like many of the surviving children were. He wasn't special. Until he turned 18, that was, when he was officially an adult and had no where left to turn. He was homeless for a while, again, much like many of the survivors after what happened in the South. He was given few clear options, and chose to enlist with Internal Defense to avoid an early death. He showed himself worthy and underwent training at the Police Academy at the age of 20. He passed with all marks above average and began his duties patrolling around the breached zones, checking scouts as and vagabonds as they came in and securing the perimeter when it became necessary. He's been on the job officially for almost two and a half years. Name/Nickname: Rodney Crane, Roddy, Rod Age: 57 Sex: Male Hetero/Homo/Bi: Hetero Faction: Grinï Position: Worker/Overseer Appearance: Rodney Crane is an older gentleman, and it clearly shows with the wrinkles around his eyes, on his forehead, and his laugh lines. He has longer hair, about shoulder length of a salt 'n pepper gray color, although is balding on top which is often covered with a cap of some sort. His eyes are a listless brown and his mouth is all but hidden behind a soupstrainer mustache and beard combo. His skin is dark from work in the fields, but his body might not show it. He's wiry but strong and walks with a limp. He can be found in overalls or jeans and a coat more often than not, and almost always with some kind of headwear. Biography/Backstory: Rodney lost his wife many years before the purge and his son when the South Wall fell. Before that he worked as a rancher in the Southern District, having always been a Trinean. He worked with his son and was planning on passing the ranch to him and his wife someday when he could properly upkeep it and Rodney could no longer work. And then everything went to shit. He was saved by his son after he fell from a water tower in the initial invasion, breaking his leg in the process. While Rodney was handed over to the Northmen for safe escort deeper into the city, his son went back for his wife and was never heard from again. Rodney's leg never healed properly, serving as a bitter reminder of that day. Finding his knowledge and experience in farming useful, he was put back to work in the Southern District as soon as it stabilized, both working on his own farm and as an Overseer of younger, less experienced farmers and ranchers. He holds his allegiance with the Gri'ers, who helped saved him when all Hell broke loose while Trin sat on their hands, and who worked to get his ranch back. When the zombies come to close to the South Wall, he's employed on the watchtower with a rifle and assists in picking off the living dead until Gri'er forces can secure the ranches once more. Original name/nickname: Simon Calhun Age of death: 33 Sex: Yes Appearance: Simon is dead. Cold and dead. He's a little shorter than average, but his exact height is unknown because most in his presence aren't worried about his height. The same with his weight, which might change as he leaks fluids or loses and organ or two. He hasn't been dead long, only a few years, but he has already begun rotting and falling apart. His skin is a jaundiced yellow, and peeling around the face, hands, and feet. The bruises he may get never heal over time, instead slowly and sickeningly transforming into bloody, messy boils of various sizes. His tongue is half-gone, bitten off some time ago, and his eyes are milky white and empty. He has long black hair that somehow hasn't fallen out yet, but is very stringy, loose, and greasy. A gash in his stomach allows his intestines to spill out, and although he is always attempting to hold this together with sutures or staples it never wants to keep. All of his fingernails are missing, revealing bloody, scabby open flesh that spreads fluid on everything he touches. As a result of his ghoulish visage, he wears bandages around his face and hands. Simon wears an officer's uniform, complete with ribbons, rank, and hat, although it is always bloody and dirty, and he changes into another one as soon as he can find one cleaner. The military branch or rank does not matter to him, only that it is an officer's uniform. Biography/Background story: Simon came from Grinï. At least to what he remembers. Memory seems to come and go when you're dead. Simon Calhun was one of those one-in-a-million zombies that happened to evolve intelligence, although slowly overtime. He became aware of his surroundings and gained much of his intelligence back, although his memory never really returned from when before he was bitten. He actually took his name from the billboard for a law firm. Call Simon Calhun, 421-7787 and protect your rights today! As a result of coming aware again as a zombie, the hunger never really left, and Simon was left insane upon his "awakening" as he saw it. Intelligent or not, the allure of human flesh is never ending. In his mind, he is the ultimate level of human: one who can't be harmed, or experience pain, or die. No worries, no mortality. It was Heaven as God himself envisioned it. He knew that his mission with this existence he'd transcended to would be to convert as many as possible, to make everyone dead, walking corpses. Everlasting life in the Kingdom of Heaven. He found that he couldn't speak to his other undead brethren, but discovered that he could lead them where he wanted and make them do what he wished through other methods. Upon testing this by leading a horde to a military outpost, one that had gone untouched and unbreached until he forced wave after wave of zombie horde upon its gates, he had stolen an officer's uniform. Repeating as he had done with the sign, he had declared himself Warrant Officer of the Dead and underwent his holy mission to cleanse the Earth of the living so that everyone may live undead for an eternity.
--- Guys, I forgot something in the CS part, there is now also a thing for your characters personality. --- (I'm going to add this one after every CS I read just so everybody knows this happened ^^) 1st Character: Seems very interesting. Same with Chukk, add the personality part that I forgot to put in the CS (sorry) and this char is good to go! 2nd Character: Very good CS, I really like this one. Add the personality and this character is just about perfect. 3rd Character: I haven't read the CS at this point, but I soon will. I just wanted to say this (and I'll repeat it at the end of my post) that once we have all the human characters, we'll start the competition for the zombie ones. So I'll give you my opinion, but just hold on to it a little longer ^^ After I read the CS: I like it. Sounds like an interesting zombie, especially since we have a certain group of humans who want to survive and stuff... ;)
Here's my CS. A few questions though:What would an officer look like? Real life police uniforms? Military uniforms? Whatever clothes they can find? My current appearance picture will act as a placeholder for now, but I would like to use it permanently. Also, what ranks are there? Is it based off a particular country or just generic Recruit, Constable, Senior Constable... Sergeant etc? Or is it just Officers and Secretary? What era are we in? Is it 2014 in a modern society, or are we slightly futuristic? Do we play sports (it's included in my biography, but I've been very ambiguous about it so i don't have to delete a whole lot if there isn't any)? And finally how long has the zombie outbreak been publicised? Have we been in the city for decades, or is it recent? When did work for a cure start?Forgive me if I over-read answers to these questions. Name/Nickname: Neil Johnson - "Doc" among peers Age: 27, born on the 8th of March Sex: Sexuality: Heterosexual Faction: Trin Defence Force Position: Police Officer Personality: Highly skilled marksman, excellent quick-draw Diligent Great at determining the best course of action to deescalate a situation Able to pinpoint a person's weaknesses and strengths Protective of those close to him and good people in bad situations Unquestionably loyal Believes no man is above the law Self-motivated Social drinker, even while on duty though to a lesser extent
--- You added a personality!!! Yeey!!! --- Okay, first the answers to your questions: -They would use real police officer uniforms. They had some left from before the Apocalypse and during the Preparation they made sure to be self-sufficient, which also means able to make their own clothes. -There are no ranks. It's to make things easier. Ranks can often be confusing and sometimes make things go slow. The people of Trinea chose for the small hierarchy I put in first post to be more effective. When it comes to outranking people, there's two ways, informal (the most common way) and simply being higher up in the hierarchy. Often, those who are older or have been employed for a longer time have more informal power than others, but officially every police officer has the same rank. -We are in a slightly futuristic world. With two main things to note: Nuclear bombs and the like were never invented. The warring Northmen never liked solving their problems by blowing them up and the south has always been technologically advanced when it comes to producing electricity. They are still mainly using oil and coal, but more effectively. Trinea is trying to completely depend on solar energy. The only problem there is that solar panels are not efficient enough yet. -We do play sports. To make things easier, we'll play regular human sport, but if you can come up with new ones, go ahead. -The zombie outbreak began 30 years ago. The North fell in 10 years, that's when the Mutation began. The battle for Trinea was about 15 years ago. -They started making a cure 20 years ago, but the required resources were put into the Preparation and rebuilding Trinea after the battle for Trinea. Which means that practically, they didn't get anywhere. About the CS. Looks good. I'd say you're the first accepted CS since you already put your personality in there. xD Another police officer for Trin, makes it easier to roleplay for you guys.
What's everyone's timezone and when they're likely to be most active? I'm GMT+10 and check every couple hours (unless I'm actually using my laptop, in which case every 30 or so minutes) after midday til midnight.
GMT +2 I'll be online somewhere between 18:00 and 24:00 of most days. Sometimes I'm not... I do have a holiday these two weeks, so you can expect me to be online a lot more than just those hours ^^
GTM +1 for me - CET (Central European Time) Time Zone. I am online usually from the morning to the early afternoon (6 am to 1-2 pm my time) on a PC and at night a few hours around midnight CET on a smartphone.Oh I would like to know if I have a new comer to the city - someone which managed to venture from the outside - as my character AKA I am asking if I can a character which is not affiliated, for now, with any of the existing factions and is quite capable.
Sure. They would probably be in the hands of Grinï for now. Most likely, they'd be asked a lot of question to determine where they belong. The default is the defence force, but that can change depending on the answers. For instance, if your character is really smart, they'll sent them to Scientea, if they know how to farm they'll keep them in Grinï. If they think your character won't survive in the defence force, they sent them to Trin or keep them as a simple worker. The sending to Trin being equal to 'simple' worker is caused by the situation between Grinï and Trin. That is it for this post... Time for the important messages (there are four). --- Guys, I forgot something in the CS part, there is now also a thing for your characters personality. --- --- So, about the zombie CS'. What I want to do is simply collect all the human CS' by the end of this week and then start the RP (unless everybody has already made their CS', then I'll start it sooner. When we start the RP the competition for the zombie CS' will also being. Everyone will have the weekend to make their CS' and post them in the OOC. I'll make a part in the first post to copy your CS' to. Then the following week everyone will have time to place their votes. I'd rather you PM those to me just to make things easier when I start counting. After that week or after everyone has voted, I will declare the winners. I am not going to tell you the amount of votes everyone has gotten simply because. There will also be no ranking, just the people who won. --- --- For now, I will be playing the Mayors and generals and stuff until I think somebody has made a good enough CS and that faction has enough characters to actually make ruling it interesting. I will not be playing them like real characters. --- --- If anyone by the end of the week thinks their faction has too little characters or that their character has very little other characters to interact with, post this in the OOC. I will not be making my characters until the RP starts and some other people will have empty character slots as well. This way we can make sure everyone has at least one roleplaying partner. ---
