Just when she was about to collapse from exhaustion Alicia felt an arm around her, holding her up. It was Iria, daughter of Iris. Iria handed Alicia her weapon and she quickly threw the strap of her quiver over her shoulder, readying her bow with an arrow just in case the bears noticed them. She realised the one distracting the bears was Leo, son of Hephaestus. “If we’re quiet enough we can get out unnoticed, better hurry while we can” Iria whispered to her as they started to move towards the exit. Suddenly, a golden arrow whizzed past, followed by Michael, son of Apollo. He touched her head and Alicia closed her eyes, feeling the coolness of his touch spread throughout her body. She reached up to touch the wound that had once been there but was now gone, realising he had healed her. She was still exhausted, but felt far better than she had and was now able to be useful to the fight. “We’re going to need everyone on their feet for this one, ladies” Michael whispered as Iria readied herself with her bladed fan. .”Let’s go get ‘em” Iria replied with a smile. Alicia was amazed to see Iria’s body glow. She’d seen it before but it still surprised her every time. Iria charged forward while Michael hung back, moving to higher ground. Alicia had started to run, planning to circle the bears shooting arrows as she ran when the warehouse started to fill with mist. “Damn you, Nicholas” she muttered when she realised another demi god had hit the scene. The mist was all fine and good, the bears couldn’t see them, but the problem was they couldn’t see the bears either! It made using a bow and arrow completely useless. She stopped dead still in her tracks, listening careful for anyone approaching her. Alicia could here Michael still shooting arrows and it confused her, how the hell could he see where he was shooting? She hoped he wasn’t blindly aiming, in the hope of hitting a target because he might find he hits one of the demi gods! Alicia heard a thump and then scream and ran to the source, arms stretched out in front of her grasping nothing in the damn mist. She could hear Iria breathing heavily and thanked the God’s for her hunter’s hearing. Suddenly there were lights in the fog- Iria! “Hey big guy!” came Nicholas’s voice through the mist. “Try throwing that a me. Yes, hit me with your best shot if you’re so tough!” She could hear clattering and the occasional groan as she assumed the bear started throwing everything it could get it’s hands on. She hoped no one was hurt. Alicia realised she needed to ignore the commotion, she couldn’t help anyway being practically blind, and made her way over to Iria. Suddenly the light moved, as if Iria were walking and Alicia heard noises but couldn’t make out what they were. She heard Iria’s sob and the thud as she fell to the ground. Still ignoring the sounds of the fight she finally reached Iria, her lights had gone out and there was another figure with her. “Who is that?” she questioned, bow at the ready to shoot where she thought the second person or thing was. This whole fight had been a disaster!
