Feel better soon, Pacman! Also Orpheus,
The lunging wolf fell to the ground, a gaping wound spread across its neck. The blood was already staining the light brown fur a crimson red.
I know you haven't been around for long enough, but could you perhaps edit this bit out? To say Lute knocked out the wolf rather than outright killed it instead (since a neck-slash is bound to leave it dead). Chapter 5 focused a lot on the morality of not killing animals, so personally it felt a bit uncomfortable/out of place to have this happen - basically the guilders going after animals and killing them, not to protect each other but for sport. It feels really anti-guildy to see Lute kill a wolf straight up like that, if that makes any sense. ^^;; Sorry if this is nitpicking; just thought we should probably get that clarified in advance. Idk someone else can pitch in a word or two about it if they disagree I suppose haha. EDIT: Just finished reading and starting to write now, sorry it's taking so long. Stella and Jack were trying to bite each other so I had to step in and hfjdgd
