Daisuke did not have a single clue as to what was going on. 

First, the scary woman was talking about clams and fire, and another random and perhaps scary woman was now talking to the other scary woman about clams. [i]Since when were there so many scary women in Italy?![/i] And at some point before the second scary woman showed up, his dame started to reassure Daisuke that the first scary woman would explain it later. His attention span of a squirrel was struggling to keep up with everything going on at once, and his brain was going to explode.

[b]"Oh-"[/b] Daisuke sputtered as he saw the group of kids begin to disperse into separate directions, wagging his head around in a state of confusion. Out of everything that the scary woman had said, he had only received the fact that he was the "Guardian of Lightning" - what did that mean? He was absolutely terrified of thunderstorms, and he could remember being almost struck by lightning when he was still living in New York! [i]Oh well,[/i] he thought.
