My characters will go here. Name: Edward Age: (What you look like and what you are.) 646: Appears to be a young man, in the range of 22-25 Gender: Male Species: (No angels.) Warlock Appearance: He appears a young male in his twenties. He normally wears various robes on a single solid color. He tends to prefer blue robes while he is sane, while his insane self prefers black or purple. His hair is short, well-kept, and brown. His eyes are both unnaturally a light blue color, changing to more of a light purple color when he is in an episode of insanity. Personality: His personality is based on the stability of his mind. When his sanity prevails, he is generally nice and caring. He finds the mistreat of humans disguising, but is also a bit of a pushover. He tends to lack the courage to speak up to other supernaturals, possibly do his relatively young age. While he is insane, humans are merely things to keep himself entertained, He is more sarcastic and sadistic, but while not pass causing pain, he generally prefers to not harm his humans but can and will, sometimes on a whim. He likes to see the minds of humans slowly be driven crazy as his was. He is much more willingly to stand up for himself, and is also not past harming other supernaturals who bother or annoy him. Weapons: N/A Powers: As a warlock, he can tab into lay-lines of magic (natural streams of magic) that are virtually everywhere, or his own inner magic he produces, in order to feats of magic. Hardly any of his magic is directly combat but he can improvise. His most basic forms of magic include things such teleportation and levitation of small objects. He also able to use healing, alteration, alchemy, and enchanting based magics, as well as some other miscellaneous magics. Weaknesses: (No holy/blessed items.) Similar to a magician, he works best in an environment which he controls. In order to use advanced magic, someone needs to be both calm and focused, and since he is untrained in combat magic, it is hard for him to use magic mid combat. Secondly, for his more powerful magic, he needs something to channel magic though, normally an enchanted wooden object, but sometimes it is a different material. Gold also works as well as wood. He is also highly mentally unstable. Also, when his magic is disabled or disrupted, it is a quite painful experience for him. Not lethal, but it hurts. Guest/Worker: Someone what both. How you intend to use your humans: When sane, he uses humans for company. When insane, he uses humans to keep himself entertained Relationships: Zero: Ex-Student, Victim. Bio: Edward was a very young wizard of twenty in a small English town, around the time when the black plague started up in England. He tried his best to combat the disease, but to no avail. In his despair, he resorted to using forbidden and dark magics, however neither helped much. This misuse of magic got him branded as a warlock and caused him to become mentally unstable, though mostly able to control his darker side. As the knowledge of the supernatural began to fade, so did he. He went around, avoiding conflict to the best of his ability, till he finally drifted to the hotel. With little other choice, he came in a as a guest. However, do to him trying to help the humans to escape, the manager locked him in a state of his own insanity. So, now he is some what in the limbo of guest and worker. Other: (Put here if returning character.) Returning character. Yeah for mental-ly unstable characters. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Dutch Human: Name: Dutch Age: 19 Gender: Male Appearance: Due to a spell placed upon him, he takes the form a dog. He appears to be a golden retriever wearing a collar and a red bandanna around his neck. Personality: He is really meek and shy and normally just doesn't want to cause trouble unless it is for someone else. He is normally very close about his personal problems and only really trusts a hand full of people. He tries to be nice, but he has anger issues that can sometimes lead him to be violent, or possibly just rude. He dislikes most supernatural races with exceptions. Normally, the less human or more monstrous, the more he dislikes them. Relationships: He friends with Zero. Bio: Once, he lived a normal life until he was taken to the hotel. There, he was used as one of the humans in the feast. The feast caused long term damage to his arms and legs, as well as given him long term resentment towards the supernatural. One day, the insane warlock gave him his freedom. Another day, the Manager's men took him back the dreaded hotel. Currently, he has been forced to stay with Edward. Other: (Put here if returning character.) Returning character. Mental. Really, Dr. Hi, how am I suppose to work with mental. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Name: Xxem Age: (What you look like and what you are.) Looks like he is 20, is about 1254 Gender: Male Species: (No angels.) Cherubim Appearance: His figure figure is similar to a human, but much thinner, though he could pass for a human with a few key exemptions. He has up to twelve wings that he can tuck into his body, or fold down to fit his figure. They are not particular large for human-sized wings, but they expand further when flies higher than merely hovering over the ground. If one looks closely, even when they are in his body, a person can notice slits where they come out. His eyes are crystalline, and he can also have up to twelve of them. To the naked eye, they appear completely round and smooth, but in truth there is many same indents and curves designed to bring light into the eye as efficiently as possibly. The eyes themselves are a solid gold. His hair is blonde and kept short. Short hair is normally a mark of the exile and ashamed, however to him, he keeps that way to separate himself from other Cherubim. He also wears very informal human clothes, another way he distances himself from his race. His normal clothes include a white t-shirt with slits that are custom made so that they expand as his wings come out, and blue jeans. Personality: Xxan is arrogent, deceitful, and intelligent. However, he isn't completely ethic-less, for example he refuses to kill a sleeping or other wise has no chance of winning, though he will stack the odds in his favor, he feels like the other person is stupid if they don't do the same. He also doesn't believe in murdering for the fun of it, and does really care much for torture. He considers those things barbaric. He also loves to messing with people both human and supernatural, though he does have a certain respect for the Manager and doesn't really try to bother him, though he isn't completely against it, he mostly just doesn't want to get thrown out of the hotel. He also very good at weaseling himself out of his own ethic code, and can find justification in what he does, expect the murdering or physically torturing for the fun of it. Though, he doesn't mind just trying to break humans and watch the process, that he does find very enjoyable. Weapons: He carries two pistols in his pockets. Powers: A cherubim power source for the most part is light. Not only are the photosynthetic, but store it and use it for most of their abilities. However, a few there abilities require no light, for example they are both capable of hovering and flight. They are also empaths, meaning they can read a persons emotion and even influence it. He also practices a forbidden ability known as X'ing. It is a form of empath where one persons influences and taints another persons mind, making them more sustainable to darker urges such as stealing, cursing, and in the extreme, killing. This is all based on what the person was like before. An X lasts indefinitely, and worsens over time. However, a person can fight the urges, and even completely block the X while it is still being put on a person with will-power, or eventually over-powered if a person fights it after it is there. A sudden fit of happiness over something doesn't simply appeal to the dark urges as mention before, can also over power the effect. More powerful mind effects can also override an X. X'ing also requires to speak the targets name (First name that he given) as it helps trigger all the right emotional responses subconsciously to actually activate this effect. Cherubim's vision with two eyes is still much greater than a human's sight. However, with all twelve, they have some of the best sight of all supernatural beings, and has a clear 180 vision in front of them. They are able also able to use light to heal themselves and others, however in low light, they are only able to heal themselves and in no-light, they can barely heal themselves. He also can bend light 360 around him, making him completely invisible as people see right though him and past him. In low light, he needs to release light, causing it to exhaust him more and occasionally light leaks from the shield creating a shimmer. In no light, this obviously doesn't work. Alert and observant people can see the gab in there vision, supernaturals with really good vision can see the light shield itself, but not what is instead it, and other cherubims can see right though the light shield no problem. he is also allowed to release light and even create illusions. Releasing light in a light space, is fairly easy, but in major excess it can be light-draining, as he can't re-asbord energy. In low light or no light, it is esp. fatigue inducing and power draining. Illusions are also fairly easy in light rooms, the effect works similar to his invisibility, the observant person can see something that might tip them off, supernaturals with good sight can normally tell they are illusions can see beyond them unless it is part of the illusion, and cherubim can also just see right though them. , In low light, his illusions can occasionally fade or create the same shimmer, and are virtually impossible to preform in no-light. These illusions only effect sight, however, sometimes the brain might feel in the other senses. Things may pass though the illusions without issue. Weaknesses: (No holy/blessed items.) Obviously, his powers are dimmed in low light and no light environments. In low light, he also tires quickly and runs out light quicker. In no-light vision, he is completely blinded and basically power-less with the mentioned exceptions, and he tends to quickly get fatigued. (To note, no light is when he trapped in a sealed room with no light sources, and is intended to no-light) Secondly, his wings are very sensitivate to damage and when slashed or shoot can cause crippling pain. Removing the wings is also especially painful. He is able to regrow them, but only after a process that requires direct sunlight, an hour, and normally involves lots of pain, fatigue, and expunging the remains of the old wing that wasn't removed. In short, it is gross and painful, the more wings removed, the long and more painful it is. While Cherubim themselves are immune to X'ing, if they are X'ed, it results in severe pain and normally temporary paralyzing. His light based abilities and empathy doesn't work though mirrors or glass, expect he can project light though it. Meaning, he is basically trapped if such behind reinforced glass. Note that looking though glass or mirrors will not allow you to see though his powers, it just blocks it. Secondly, gold can hurt him more than any other material (Not fatally, like silver to werewolves, more like iron to vampires) and causes him to unleash a burst of light at the wound, allowing him to be confirmed as a Cherubim and it can cause fatigue if hit enough. Guest/Worker: Guest How you intend to use your humans: However he sees fit at the time, I mean they are just humans, who cares how he uses them. Most commonly however, he uses them for his little games of wit, as he believe humans are quite cunning and resourceful, so they might not be able to challenge, but at least keep him entertained, or just room-servants. Relationships: N/A Bio: Xxen's village was peaceful and simple, and Xxen absolutely hated that. Since Cherubims merely needed to be out in the sun, for the most of the time that is all they do other than make simple clothing, and normally keep themselves busy with art and flying. However, this wasn't enough for Xxen. He began to toy with his powers. pulling various tricks, and in general just being an annoyance, while his village tried to discourage him, they was passive about it. That was until, he uncovered the ability of X'ing. With this ability, he was almost able to disable his entire village of pacifist. Until he was tricked into a cave, and another Cherubim who know how to bend light cut the light off the cave. After a few minutes, he was weakened, and they was able to put him into exile, using strong empathy to make him feel a powerful and overwhelming fear if he ever returned. For awhile, he roamed but the life of roamer, merely being a pest was worst than setting around and doing nothing. So, eventually, he found about the hotel and drifted to it. Other: (Put here if returning character.) He hates being call a Cherub.
