The sessions have been conducted by a therapist who specializes in hypnosis and unorthodox methods. You have made great progress along with the other members. One night, however, you and your fellow session members find the therapist gruesomely murdered. Things take a turn for the worse when strange and disturbing events begin to unfold the same evening. **** This is an eerie horror-thriller. If you enjoy film-noir, H.P. Lovecraft, Silent Hill, or cult-mystery, this will suit you perfectly. The roleplay itself is quite light-weight, which means that there is not much auxiliary information to write or know beforehand. Why your character is in therapy is for you to decide; his or her condition can be anything from alcoholism, depression, or nightmares to obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobia, or schizophrenia. Depending on what you choose, I will include customized scares and disturbing events specific to your character, so that everyone gets to be the center of attention at least once. Character Creation Your character has almost fully recovered due to the therapy. However, this will be challenged by the events of the story. One thing to keep in mind is that these characters are most likely introverts, in one way or another. The other members of this therapy group might be the only people that they know, the only people that they have in their lives. This does not mean that these characters are social failures or live at the bottom of society. If they are of age, they probably have a job, and perhaps even their own family. This is just something to keep in mind when you create your character. Post your completed character sheets in this thread. I need to OK all characters.
Name: Age: 10-65 Appearance: Written description of measurements, attributes, and clothing. If you want to include a picture, attach it before or after the character sheet—live action photographs only. Condition: Describe what your character is suffering from. Even if it is something that most people know about, include a description. Wikipedia is a great tool for this section. Shares: These are short stories and anecdotes that your character has told the group during therapy sessions, regarding his or her condition in relation to his or her life. This section should include one or several ‘shares’ that your character has made. Write them in-character! This section is where we get to know your character. Possessions: Auxiliary possessions (besides clothing) that are relevant to your character or that should be noted by other players. Relations: Once you have read other players’ character sheets, write what kind of relation your character might have with them. You can write this section either in-character or out-of-character. Discussion with the other players might help with this section.
4-7 players One post minimum/week (7 days from last post) Two paragraph minimum/post (Standard Advanced Rule) 2500 words maximum/post Cast Aimee Askins by Bunnita.
