Well, I tried. There are half a dozen reasons that scenario could be taken for a win, and a perfectly valid explanation for Edmund's actions (note: valid is not the same as logical), but you clearly aren't interested in seeing any of those. In the interest of not dragging this out any further, I'm going to not drag it out any further.
