Juke dislikes being labeled as an “average small town boy” by people – in fact, he dislikes people in general, shown to be extremely critical of them within his thoughts. He speaks in a very gruff and rude manner, almost as if he were constantly mocking or sarcastically speaking whenever he interacts with others.

In addition to his distaste of society, Juke is a bit of a recluse; he keeps to himself most of the time, even on the job. Because of his lack of interest in friendships and focus geared towards his occupation, he doesn't have many expectations to live up to, and in turn, he is able to indulge in his laziness.

Deep inside, Juke harbors a special love for Pokemon, viewing them as equals to the trainers themselves and is disgusted by the idea of trading them away for other Pokemon. Despite his personal beliefs, he is inclined to commit to his job as a Blackbody Grunt due to his economic status and hate for the way trainers treat their Pokemon like a currency.
